Smile Anyone got £3000 or £4000 to spare - To fly in a Spitfire

    Hello all,

I'm afraid I certainly do not have enough loose change to throw at this one; but I do so wish I had I asked the missus what she thought - guess what she said?

Probably available all over, but this is coming to Exeter, Devon - right near to where I live - drool, drool.

Quite a sum of money but if you had that it would be worth it. A few years ago I was able to fly in a B-17 (Yankee Lady). It was $450 (US) so not as much as the Spitfire.Click image for larger version.

This is a picture I took from where I sat at takeoff. Was well worth the money.

I sat in the copilot's seat of a Ford Trimotor on a flight from Sandusky, Ohio to Rattlesnake Island in Lake Erie back in 1972. Unfortunately I have no photographs.
So how many books are in your personal library?

I could get one from Beachy head where the red and white lighthouse is - It's about 9 miles from where I live. That outfit currently flies from Chichester, I believe, off what was the old Westhampnett strip.

Just £3000 - £4000 out of my price range!

    Shame.
