Visiting Canberra for Wintercon I took the time to visit the National Police Memorial in King's Park on the shore of Lake Burley Griffin. The memorial commemorates the more than 700 officers of all Australian jurisdictions who have died on duty over the past 200 years.
I am posting today to express my sympathies to our US colleagues for the loss of 5 officers killed in the line of duty in Dallas last week. I know there are other members of this community who work in law enforcement and such incidents remind us of the risks we take every working day.
