They're beautiful!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I can't even believe my eyes!
They look beautiful! They look painted! Almost Series 1 esque
Oh the beauty! REP!!
Wow, those look great. And the 109s look like 109s.....
Run for your life - there are stupid people everywhere!
Oh .......my ....
That was a heavy push!
I will jump on a couple of those, they look great
I am sitting here, credit card in hand, Aerodrome Accessories website on my laptop.
LOVE IT, Love IT, Love IT!
That is a sure fire winner Andrea!
Is this the BoB special?
See you on the Dark Side......
Looks fantastic.
The choice of planes may a subject for a discussion (Bf 109, Hurrie, Bf-110, Spit would be perfect), but a BoB starter itself like this one is a very good idea.
ARES.

ETA for release?
I'm a big BoB fan so this starter set is tailor made for me. Now we need something for the Pacific theater :-)
Nice!
Thank you for posting this picture, Joaquim!

Thanks for sharing!
I actually shared it myself - it comes from Ares' profile on Facebook and it has been probably taken in Ares' office in Viareggio. Golden boxes on the left should be the first samples of WW1 Series 9 (Sopwith 1 1/2, C.III, Phoenix and Ni.11).
This is more balanced for a starter set. Then Hurricane, Stuka, Spitfire and 109E are alkso available as squadron pack (one plane with customizable delcals). Bonus for you: the Hurricanes are from 303 Squadron.
Bf-110, Beaufighter and Cr.42 are anyway already available to complete a BoB range.
More will follow.
"Now" is a bit too strong word. But if the market will like that one, it is a very probable next step as far as I can guess.
When can we part with our hard earned cash for these lovelies
I'm learning to fly, but I ain't got wings
Coming down is the hardest thing
Four Polish Spitfires in the game? Andrea, do you know that it was Battle of Britain?
Edit: Of course, now I see there was no sense in my question. This famous squadron didn't use Spitfires during BoB, of course...

Hurricanes? That's OK, nobody cares about Hurricanes
(just kidding, I see that there were most important during BoB)
And to another question: Finnish soldiers were too more effective than Russians and....
(just kidding again)
Edit: I was too cheeky, my apologies. That's because I'm so happy about Starter Set for new players - my colleague asked me immediately on it!

Looking very carefully at the image, I can barely see squadron code letters on the spitfires. Can anyone else see anything for letters on the fuselages? I see DW on the Spitfires (610 Sqn: DW-P on one) and on the Bf-109s are the emblem of JG 26 (Black outline 13+ on one, green(?) 5+~ on the other) under the canopys.
So, two planes from the same squadron, but different markings for each.

At last, a set of aircraft I can buy without scrimping around the shops, kind friends, and internet.
Remember I started WW2 long after Nexus went Nexit.

I'm really glad about this.
It made my day.
I don't think they're painted - look at the left wing of left Spitfire and even tail edges look not painted.
But, if minis with decals look like this, it will be awesome
Another but: I can't imagine making decals on decaled minis, so there is a chance for painted squadron minis
At last, what we all been saying for a couple of years now, they do look good, have we any indication as to what Sqn/Saffel they will be available as ?
I may even indulge myself here
now heres something thatll generate some interest in the game!!!!!
It's the BoB Starter Set that is slated for release 4th quarter 2016.
As Andrea said above, you will be able to get a Hurrie as a Plane Pack release that includes a set of decals to make several examples from the same Squadron. There will only be one Hurrie mini instead of three like before however. Same with the Stuka. Those two will be release at the same time as the BoB Starter. Also as part of that release will be a single Airplane Pack for the Spit and 109. These will have the same base (squadron) paint scheme as the two in the Starter, but it will come with a decal sheet to make up to ~6 historical "repaints" out of the box. The minis in the Starter will be ready to play right out of the box, so no decals included with those. The Bf-110 you can get from me now, before everyone buys them up to play BoB and they go out of stock for another 2 years
4th quarter of 2016 is the target date for BoB with a Pacific Starter planned to alternate with the BoB Starter in the production cycle... so long as the new format is popular.
That's correct two ready to play Spits minis from the same squadron in the Starter and then up to 6 more Spits from that same squadron via the single Airplane Pack with it's decals (possibly more if you stray from historical identification codes).
There is a disadvantage of this (great, by the way) solution - you can't have Spit with later camo (Vybiral) or, for example, winter or desert Bf.109. But that's life... On the other hand...no Belgian Hurricanes (sorry, Thomatchef).
Yes, that is a limitation. I am not sure how they are going approach reprinting the one Airplane Pack of each type. That could be an option for them to get different base color schemes and decal sheets out there. No matter what Ares does release format wise, there will always be the need to do repaints.
Yes, there are two different perspectives. On the other hand, I think (and Starter Set proofs that) "blind" camouflages will (probably) be typical, we can say even "most numerous" (BoB, Midway Area etc.). That is OK for most (?) of players, I guess.
We just need to look at it from the positive perspective
I can see most serious WGS players picking up one of the new BoB Starters to get those "exclusive" paint jobs, but I think the single Airplane Pack (Spit and 109) will greatly out sell the Starter with my customers. Too many of you want larger squadrons and just buying one Starter and one Pack leaves someone without a wingman
Spot on Keith.
Even I am about to embark upon more than that!

Wow sets! wish I could see the props though! But from what I can see, HOLY goodness! Oh man, Oh man, gimme, gimme, gimme!
Looks like Galland, Balthasar, and Molders will still be expensive on the secondary market! I could see them going up even more actually, as people will surely want to include them in this scenario!
This is amazing! I hope it sells like mad! I really want the Midway release as well!
This is exactly what I wanted - in another thread 6 or 8 months ago.
Looks like a good Christmas
This news I am loving...
Chris,
From the image provided, I can make out the "S" of JG 26 (Link: Wikipedia - Jagdgeschwader 26) on the Bf-109s, and "DW" on one of the Spits for 610 Sqn (Link: Wikipedia - No. 610 Squadron RAF).
So, both Starter Set Bf-109s will be JG 26, with different Staffel or Gruppe markings than the three choices in the Airplane Pack Bf-109 (But no Galland plane, it appears, unless there is an optional yellow nose offering?), and both Spitfires will be 610 Sqn, with different plane letters (for up to five individual planes?).

There is no longer three different Airplane Packs per aircraft type. Just a single Pack with the decal sheet. The full release will look like this:
Starter Set WGSx
Single Spitfire 401A
Single 109 402A
Single Hurrie 403A
Single Stuka 404A
Those product codes might be a little off, but I know it's 401A-404A for the single packs with decals.
I can live with that, Keith!
"That'll do for me, Tommy!"
I laugh in the face of danger - then I hide until it goes away!
Just spent $120 for more storage.
I think I will need more ...
Yes, Ares is already counting on veteran players buying at least one Starter set. I'm wondering how many single Airplane Packs people are going to buy. Here's a poll for that.
