Default What have you played this weekend?

This time I have invited my pilots to plunge into the sea of Greece! Cyclades the boardgame plus Titans expansion. What a fun we had (Uhmmm...I won).

Playing house nurse for my wife, and filling hanger trays with planes. And taking a complete inventory (at least of WoG official planes).

Played WoG for the first time with my 4 year old boy and 6 year old girl. Stuck to WGF due to the simple machanics. Denzel was very patient and only touched the planes a few times without playing a manouvre card but when it came to shooting he didn't hold back in the machine gun sound effects

They both loved it, now they are just working on SWMBO to join us for a game (who hates little airplanes) unfortunately.

Great fun with the kids though and look forward to many more games with them as they grow.

Having played a couple of WoG scenarios & posted their AAR in the last week I resorted to converting a spare Bishop SE5a to a Learoyd, for no better reason than I had the card. I also dabbled with some Gears of War on the Xbox.

    _Plants Vs. Zombies_ Survival Mode.

Got a run with three straight waves of Jack-In-The-Box Zombies. I hate those f***ers; one of them can blow a hole clean through the front-line, and if they're stacked up.... This is why I use Melon-Pults with Winter Melon upgrade extensively; it slows them down a bunch, so when they blow, they're too far away to do any damage.

Got the game done, shut down the computer... and that's when the ice-cream truck which plays "Pop Goes The Weasel" drove up.

My case comes up on Thursday....

Good game, nice fights (combination of dice and cards) and a lot of options for strategy.

Do you have Horus Heresy? Similar system. Playing Forbidden Stars, you have to place your orders dierectly on the game board.

Test it with Darek. You'll like it.

Cool that they released it in Polish language.

No I don't have HH (I heard about it, know you have it ), but when you say combat system with cards and dice - We shall love it.

I am SO proud of BBSuds for putting these together...he almost lost a finger tip (using a safety knife)...but I take the blame since I wasn't in the mood for gaming after hitting Bambi (a deer, for those not familiar with this term) on Thurs night...I was going 70 mph when it ran in front of me...I kinda wish I was flying at that moment. I came out in one piece, but not my car. So needless to say Bob did what was necessary to stay alive...build tanks ...ha ha ha.

Andy, we've played Cyclades and also enjoyed it!

We played two games of Mare Nostrum: Empires yesterday. There were 5 of us playing for the first time. Myself(bbsuds), Beth(trench wench), Rick(mav1624), Joe(baron1680 ), and Aaron. It is a very easy game with lots of strategy and 4 different ways to win. The first game took us 3 hours and the second took us 5 hours(3:30am finished).

Wish you were in driving distance; I love multi-player strategy games. And that one looked great at Origins.
