Hi Andy and Edyta
My wife and I voted last week (postal votes) which turned out to be a complete waste of energy as she voted one way and I the other, neatly cancelling each other out.
Oh well, such is life!

Well I suppose if the UK votes to leave the EU they can always apply to join the Great Anzac Commonwealth!
Great photo Andy & Edyta!
Lost for words.
...
Voilŕ le soleil d'Austerlitz!
Cheers Andy and Edyta ... Bye bye EU ...

Thank you for your good wishes, Andrzej and Edyta.
What will the result's effect be on the price of models here, I wonder? I expect that they will increase.
Backs to the wall,
alone we stand again.
Proud we stand tall
In the dry of the rain.
See you on the Dark Side......
Just another nail in the coffin.

Independence Day! Good on you Britian. The sooner the EU dissapears the better. Bring back individual sovereignty and let each nation be responsible for themselves.

The UK is a heavy loss for the European Union.
I hope we can reach a status like Norway, Swiss or Iceland.
Voilŕ le soleil d'Austerlitz!
It is not possible Sven and I am not sure if the Brexiters are aware of that.
One of the grounds of Norway's, Switzerland's and Iceland's status in the European Economic Area, EEA is the free movement of people which was one of the basis for the referendum! Moreover, Norway pays a contribution to the EU budget up to 90% of the sum it should pay if being a regular member.
So if UK would like to be a second Norway and function on the same conditions, than the Brexit is a total absurd.
The think-tankers say that UK now has a nasty choice between a plague and a cholera.
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
Sad day for all those who fought a war to end wars in Europe and dreamed for a better future.
The EU stands, if for nothing more, for 70 years without murdering wars in the western Europe.
Dark days are coming and we can see the vultures flying freely in the skies again.
When madmen win the day, dictators to be show their grin.
**said too much*** please accept my apologies. I thought more people would agree like the British who voted for this.

Thanks Quim.
I do not want a Political bomb dropping here on the U.K. Wing.
We all have our own thoughts on the consequences of this matter. Let us please keep it that way for the harmony of the Drome.

Sometimes there aren't enough tinfoil hats to go around.... And Andrzej, you're spot on about Britain's prospects. Many a little infographic about Switzerland and Norway has been shared in the past few weeks, and they've all been curiously lacking the bit about unlimited migration being a condition that the deal rests on. Britain has chosen to leave - now it gets to discover what "leave" actually means....
My father is from Italy. Dont get me wrong I love Europe but it should be a land of beautiful independant countries that have control of their own borders and finances. I will leave it there

If you choose to do that Andy,it is a shame, but feel free to do so. It looks as if things have settled down now. Shall we see how it runs for a bit?

"Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death."
So its ok to speak against Brexit calling it a shame etc yet one cannot support it and give reasons for doing so?
I shall keep my mouth shut like a good little boy next time then.
Hope this will not affect visitors for Doncaster this year, that would be a great loss
The result of the UK referendum is only a notice of intention to leave according to Article 50 of the Treaty of Lisbon. EU Treaties remain in effect as per subsection (3), see below:
Article 50
1. Any Member State may decide to withdraw from the Union in accordance with its own constitutional requirements.
2. A Member State which decides to withdraw shall notify the European Council of its intention. In the light of the guidelines provided by the European Council, the Union shall negotiate and conclude an agreement with that State, setting out the arrangements for its withdrawal, taking account of the framework for its future relationship with the Union. That agreement shall be negotiated in accordance with Article 218(3) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union. It shall be concluded on behalf of the Union by the Council, acting by a qualified majority, after obtaining the consent of the European Parliament.
3. The Treaties shall cease to apply to the State in question from the date of entry into force of the withdrawal agreement or, failing that, two years after the notification referred to in paragraph 2, unless the European Council, in agreement with the Member State concerned, unanimously decides to extend this period.
4. For the purposes of paragraphs 2 and 3, the member of the European Council or of the Council representing the withdrawing Member State shall not participate in the discussions of the European Council or Council or in decisions concerning it. A qualified majority shall be defined in accordance with Article 238(3)(b) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.
5. If a State which has withdrawn from the Union asks to rejoin, its request shall be subject to the procedure referred to in Article 49.
The changes will not likely take effect for some time.
Oh boy, you go through all that trouble to keep Scotland and then lose the connection to the EU? Wishing the best for all parties involved...ie the world! I hope when the dust settles and all the consequences are revealed that saner heads prevail.
I would just like to say borders never have and never will stop friendship.
Hi Carl, i knew that the official changes take place two years after notice given, I was thinking more on the lines of Europeans backlash against visits to Uk, for which I would not blame them as we have basically just turned our backs on them, which I think we will rue. But that is what the vote says.
Well cheap airfares will take a beating and it will mean longer queues for us at the non EU counter but I for 1 will be there this year (booked the flight in January)
Pretty sure Andy will be too, got to keep the European flag flying
We didn't even have the right to vote one way or the other as they put a limit of to vote on being more than 15yrs away from the UK , neither did my children one of whom works in France and another who lives in Spain but works in Gib. Certainly is a watch this space scenario.
I'm learning to fly, but I ain't got wings
Coming down is the hardest thing
We should respect the vote of the British.
...and we should respect the feelings of other EU members.
Your father is from Italy.
How does he think about the EU?
Why do you think the EU should dissapear?
I accept your opinion, but try to see the reason for it.
At Prague Con I asked Flying Officer Kyte, if the UK is embedded in a kind trading / treaty sytem network of the former Commonwealth countries. It isn't.
Maybe this is a new way to revive old connections and be a gateway to continental Europe.
I'm not angry but I feel not good today. Something has to change in the EU. Bigger states have to care for intakes or follow solutions and measures of smaller ones like it happened in the refugee question. But the last thing we should do is bury the project.
Voilŕ le soleil d'Austerlitz!
Won't do that Sven, we might blow the 'chunnel' though...!
Sapiens qui vigilat... "He is wise who watches"
We are letting ourslves be dragged down the slippery road into politics.
What is done is done. Democracy at work.
If it doesn't work we can blame no-one but ourselves.
See you on the Dark Side......
I wasn't talking about you or me, but the space where we are.
You can always give your opinion. That's what freedom is for.
And you can see that nobody that is against UK leaving is saying that they cannot. Once again it's democracy working.
Even if we think that the choice was wrong, we'll do nothing against it.
What I was saying is that because we're a band of friends here - whether we're pro or against Brexit, we should not let our opinions become too acid.
And believe me, your opinion about Europe, immediately made my blood pressure went up a bit.
Putting out some fire with Gasoline...
