Received this today that there is only member of the Doolittle raid left.
Me and Keith were talking about these two men on Sunday - we stand in front of set of tumblers for every man of raid and saw two lasts. Keith told me there were a tradition to meet with each other, but from days, when they were it two, the tradition was abandoned - nobody wants to coma and realize he's the last. So, the last tumbler...
And given his age: I suspect by next year, the Doolittle Raiders will pass into the realm of Recorded History....

rest in well deserved peace brave warrior! somehow i knew lt cole would be the last. i had the pleasure of very briefly meeting a few of these brave men on an autograph line back at the 2010 doolittle fly in at the museum. something struck me about lt col cole. a certain fire of spirit that led me to believe he still had a lot of life left in him. enjoy the brandy lt col cole.
