Northern Italy, 24 June 1918: In the late morning Tenente Silvio Scaroni (20 victories) took off from the 76a Squadriglia’s airfield at Casoni to patrol the front north of the Piave River. Only a week earlier the Austro-Hungarian Army had suffered heavy losses in a failed attempt to dislodge the Italians from the southern bank of the Piave. At the height of the battle Scaroni had fitted a second machine-gun to his Hanriot HD.1 and was looking to put the added firepower to good use. About 1200hrs Scaroni attacked an enemy two-seater over Possagno.
This WGF historical scenario is designed as a two player or solitaire mission for the Series 6 Scaroni Hanriot HD.1 and Series 3 Luftfahrttruppen UFAG C.I.
