Default WGF IF05 - Balloon Busting Brumowski (WGF historical scenario for solo play)

Northern Italy, 9 October 1917: Hauptmann Godwin Brumowski was the leading Luftfahrttruppen ace and commanding officer of elite Fliegerkompanie 41J (Flik41J). Inspired by Manfred von Richthofen, Brumowski’s Albatros D.III serial 153.45 was painted red overall except for black-shrouded skulls on both sides and the top deck of the fuselage. At 1700hrs whilst flying this distinctive aircraft Brumowski attacked an Italian observation balloon tethered near Isola Morosina.

This WGF historical scenario is designed for solitaire play and requires Hauptmann Godwin Brumowski's Series 3 Albatros D.III and one Balloon Busters Observation Balloon.

The original balloon rules included in the Wings of War Burning Drachens set were actually more detailed than those included in the latest WGF RAP.

I have included an extract from these rules relevant to this scenario involving balloons with altitude and AA fire.

My pleasure Pete, I'm glad you like the format.

Keep an eye on the missions section, I have plenty more coming up, from solo missions to larger battles.

Will have to find some time to have a go at these, even if the line up is not as per, this is a game suitable for all fronts.
    Keep it coming Carl !
