    Default Eberhard Mohnicke Repaint

Here is a repaint I completed whilst the site was down of Ltn Eberhard Mohnickes triplane.

All pics & info in the album

Wanted to do it since I found out I share his birthday & found pics of a replica of his plane that's residing in NZ. Check it out !http://www.airventure.de/classicfighters07_1.htm

Lt Eberhard MOHNICKE b:1898; Jasta 11 & KG II; 9 victories; WIA twice in 1918; died 14 Oct 1930 whilst test flying.

The "Click the image" link doesn't work for me, but the first one goes to the album fine - nice job.

Very nice. I've just done a Rahn repaint of Von Richthofen's aircraft, and having seen yours I'm going to do a few more of the flying circus from the Spring 1918 period with Eiserne Kreuz markings.

I'll probably end up with both Von Richthofen brothers, Mohnicke & Weiss, plus any other interesting ones I stumble across. I'll need to order some more decals, and print up some of my own, so it's a long-term project!

Oh, and I'm not seeing the picture on your post, but the link to the gallery works.

Nope. I'm not getting it either, but I don't care cause I got a sneak preview.

Nice job on that repaint... and I fixed the link as well as putting a little eye candy here in the thread for everyone to see.

Hi Karl - I didn't paint the top the wings but I did have to touch in under the cockpit & topside of the undercart - believe it or not I painted in black first then before it fully dried I painted it with Humbrol 29 Dark Earth - not perfect but it seems to have done the job. Not sure I'd do that on a full wing though !

I finally got round to finishing my Version of Mohnicke's aircraft:

More of Jasta 11 are in my album. So far I have the von Richthofen brothers, Edgar Scholz and Eberhard Mohnicke's aircraft. I will be adding Werner Steinhauser and possibly Hans J. Wolff.
