Default Free to a Good Home - Sopwith Snipe (Broken)

    Hi All,

I bought a Sopwith Snipe (Barker) and it arrived broken (undercarriage broken off and missing). The retailer refunded my money and told me to keep the plane since they obviously couldn't resell it. It's no good to me but perhaps one of you modeller types could do something with it?

Looks like a "Downed Plane" marker to me. Bust it a bit more, and put some smoke and flame on it.

Hello Andrew sorry to hear of this disappointment. At least the Barker Edition Snipe is still in production and you can source an alternative quite easily.

Had it been a Barker Edition Camel the story would be very different - I'd be directing you to a contact in Spain who I have just come across for mine. Reliable pleasant bloke

PM'ed you as I am sure the OFC: Oil Flying Corps needs a practice airframe / scrap to practice painting on as I am out of practice.

Same as the Barker Sopwith Snipe was one of my first WGF aircraft - good to know you are OK for the Barker Camel as that's now becoming a nightmare to find!

PMed you my details as asked - thanks again

Arrived successfully - very sorry for late response to say so.

Thank you very much. Going to try and seek components or make them to replace the undercarriage. Failing that a practice to improve my painting skills.
