    One point: I wasn't aware that the USSR used air to ground rockets as early as 41/42.

    The Russians were surprisingly early adopters for air-to-ground rockets - they actually used them in small numbers in both Khalkin Gol and the winter war, and put them into general service in 1940.

    As for the site, nice find Zoe - that's solid anorak-level research.
