    Blackronin,

I only have the US Taffy 3 Fleet done currently.

The only 3 ships were the Escort Carrier, Fletcher Class, and Butler Class (URL below)

    http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/dow...o=file&id=2140

I was preparing to run a Kamikaze Solo game, so I only got as far as Taffy 3.

I have prepped the top down images for the Japanese Yamamoto task force but don't have anything scaled yet.

The AAR from above was back in Nov 2015 and I have not been doing the ships but instead, concentrating on getting all of my landing gears done before the new aircraft come out.

Sorry, I though I was further along with the Japanese than I really am.

Here is the template I use for positioning the ships of Taffy 3, and I had scaled smaller versions of each ship to simulate altitude.

Oh, and milcoll73, I believe the (fictional character) Dayton is a buckeye, but why do you say that..? That is interesting because I always envisioned him as that kind of guy/from that region..?

He surfaced in the 2nd part of the ensigns challenge I did as an AAR (early 2015), I don't know if you saw that one...

Sorry about the ships Blackronin (I do have CVE 73 and CVE 57, but started going generic/no numbers)

Please let me know if you want me to upload the 73 pictured and/or 53

    Thanks for your reply, Chris.

    Generic is good with me.
I would like to see in all those scales a Japanese destroyer, a transport (American and Japanese) and the Carrier Ryūjō.
It would help my campaign a lot.

You just solved a problem I was having, I really wanted to make a smaller Japanese carrier than the Soryu...

    http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/dow...o=file&id=1682

I think you just gave me my next... The Ryūjō.

You also gave a great idea with the transports...

I am leaning on Liberty type ships, or were you looking at the later war type transports..?

Looks like I have a lot of work ahead of me, but picture the living room floor battle between the US and Japanese escort carrier groups...

    Thanks Chris!

    This will be awesome.
Just to be sure I lost nothing, you only made the 5th part of the Soryu?

    The Liberty ships are perfect.
And a Japanese transport will also work.

Oh I can picture a battle like that very well indeed.

    Blackronin,

Check out the Files/World War II section and you will see the full 5 sections of Soryu plus a USS Ranger Carrier.

    http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/dow...hp?do=cat&id=7

If you print Soryu, you will notice how small the sections images are.
I recommend printing from the Bitmap versions (downloaded) for each image, fill the page with the image on the printed page; and as a result, the full page sections when cut out and taped together (from the back) will equal the 1/200 scale image.

I use a combination of scaled internet images, and top down line drawings filled in with color and shading to produce the ships. The destroyers for the Japanese just need to be scaled, but the liberty/Japanese cargo and small carrier ships have to be created (looking forward to it though).

I'm not sure when I will be done, I'm going to guess 2 months...

But scenarios involving protection and attack on shipping lanes would be so fun...

    Great ideas Blackronin,

    Found them, thanks!

It will be fun, and two months is perfectly okay.

Great work Chris. Keep at it when you can, we'll use whatever you make whenever they get done.

    Thank you Teaticket,

I have all of the completed projects uploaded to the 3 existing pages of the WWII File section:

    http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/dow...hp?do=cat&id=7

I have some Japanese landing cards (Mod related) that I have yet to upload, but short of that all of my mods and images are uploaded.

Thank you for asking about them,
    Chris
