Book Title: Find and Destory: Antisubmarine Warfare in World War I
Author: Dwight R. Messier
ISBN: 1557504474
Category: History
Format: Hardback
Summary: Submarines. All of the belligerents had them, but no one thought how to fight against them. Well, this book explains the origins of antisubmarine warfare. Although the emphasis is on British efforts, all countries that had any ASW program are covered. Only one chapter explicitly discusses the use of aircraft in the ASW role. But I did learn that the RFC favored the use of the Blackburn Kangaroo (I don't have this Datafile at the present time) while the RNAS liked the Felixstowe F2A.
About twenty photographs are provided in the book, however none of them are of aircraft. A selection of maps of the various areas of engagement are included.
I liked this book and recommend it.
