Between Chris and I we should have good photo coverage to share. Last year we had a good show of pilots, hope for the same this year.

Sounds like a fun day. We have girls opening day of softball that day. (1 block parade w/the fire engines - an opening ceremony) and our first game. I'm an asst coach. The head coach will be in on Vacation, so I don't think they will let me go fly airplanes.

    Good luck with your team!
Next fall I hope to run games at Council of Five Nations up in Schenectady. This year it will be the last full weekend in September. Not sure where you are and if its feasible.
I drive 4 hours for that one.

Not to totally derail your HAVOC Thread:

Thanks. This is our second year of Ponytails (2nd & 3rd grade girls playing coach pitch, and we only score for innings 2 & 3), so it should be "easy".

I'm in the New Jersey suburbs of Philadelphia (90 miles from NYC) (250 to the convention). I will see what I can do, but soccer is in fall (I'm a head coach for that). Our best bet is when the wife and kids go to my in-laws place in Bar Harbor, ME for the summer, (usually 6 weeks - only 4 this summer)...so I have weekends to myself. Most years I host a board game weekend at my house. I currently have 2 free weekends in July (the 15th & 22nd) and I could see about heading to the NE to meet you and Chris and anyone else for Wings of Glory and Wings of Buffalo.

If you ever head up to Bar Harbor let me know as I am in Ellsworth every other weekend. My wife and I bought a place up there last summer.
Chris is in CT while I'm in MA. Maybe we can all meet up at Chris' in July if he is agreeable and available.

That could certainly work, depending upon the weekend. Like Peter, I intend to be at CoFN in September.

Had a fantastic day at Havoc yesterday. Several Aerodrome members were there, Chris (fastgit), Frank (br27yank), Joe (Roland19), Bruce (?) from Canada! and myself. I have to say I think it was the best Wings day at a show I have ever had. All three games (two of mine and Chris') went off wonderfully and everyone played well with not one issue raised.
My lovely wife flew her new Sopwith Dragon Camel with her usual success and I got to fly my latest Fokker DVII from the painting comp for the first time.
Couldn't ask for a better day!

Photos will follow in a day or so. Hopefully Chris will ad his to this thread too when he can.

I agree with Peter's assessment... a great day of WGF & WGS. Though perhaps humble when compared to other gatherings, our the games saw 14, 10, and 7 take to the sky. I'll post pics and a narrative in the coming days.

Thanks to Frank, Joe, Peter, and Deb for a wonderful time... hope to see you all soon.

I had an amazing day and glad I could join in the fun. The games were really fun and well run by Peter and Chris. I especially enjoyed meeting Peter, Chris and Deb along with the other players who gave it a go. I look forward to future games - hopefully I can make to Portland for Huzzah! Thanks again!

The Vals did no damage to the air strip but the Bettys tore it up badly. The transports survived unscathed. A minor Japanese victory as they put Henderson out of action for a few days but the reinforcements arrived to put it back in business.

The board used is actually Peleliu. I built it for Battlefront SWW2 using 15mm figures. I hadn't used it in years so it was good to have it see the light of day again. If I remember correctly I designed 6 different scenarios played on this board, now a 7th!

3rd battle was run by Chris, Schlachtflieger! The Germans were out to make a hole in the Entent lines with the help of strafing and bombing the trenches. German pilots each had a Fokker DVII and 2 seater while the British pilots has 2 Camels or Americans with a Nieuport 28 pair.
Chris' trench mat is very nice to fly over. Where did you get this Chris?

I only have a few photos as I was more concentrating on flying!

Chris was nice enough to let my wife and I fly our new planes. Here is her Sopwith Dragon Camel. I didn't notice at the time but now looking at the photo she is flying the before and after versions.
