Great pics Mike. Sounds like everyone had a good time. Beth and I are available any Saturday, so any time just let me know a week in advance. That goes for anyone in the Milwaukee area that wants to game.

Count Beth and myself in for March 12 and I will let you know if Aaron will be coming also.

Great pictures, Mike - looks like some serious flying going on there! Love the balloons - that gentle bend in them really adds nicely to the model. Who makes them?

Looks like lots of fun was had...

    All the best,

Yes it did get hot for some of us. I think each of my planes went down in flames in both scenarios. Also, upon reviewing the pictures, I do like the picture with Scott, hands behind his back and a very self-satisfied smile on his face. He probably just flamed one of my planes.

We had two scenarios, the first was based on Lt. Quentin Roosevelts actions on July 7, 1918. Reportedly, Lt. Roosevelt had engine problems and was late taking off. Shortly after he came in sight of his squadron he went into a cloud bank. Upon exiting the cloud bank he found that he was above and behind a flight of DVII's that were preparing to jump his squadron. Action commenced when Roosevelt attacked. I took Roosevelts plane in the scenario and I damaged several German planes quickly, but a couple of them were able to turn around on me before any help could arrive. I took damage early and often.

The second was a late 1916 balloon bust. Rocket equipped Nieuport 16's along with Nieuport 17's and SPAD VII's attacked the balloons that were defended by Albatross DII's, Halberstadts and Rolands. The French were able to destroy the balloons but lost 6 planes compared to the Germans 2. It was a great afternoon. Thanks for hosting, Bob and Beth!
