4.30 start.
7.30 at Chris's. Lovely cuppa and bacon butty.
7.50 depart for show
8.30 arrive. What a great venue.
5.00 depart for Chris's after a fantastic day.
21.32 in bed. Knackered. Zzzzzzzzzzz
See you on the Dark Side......
Thank you Neil for not mentioning the scores on the doors...RFC = Righting Fu*$@^g Chaos......
More in depth AAR when I have stopped sobbing... just to say Germans 8 RFC 0 - yup we didn't get a single kill all day - I shall go to bed and be tormented by the images of a young lad called Ethan dancing wildly as on one hit point he pulls zero after zero after bloody zero.
Great day chaps - just not for those flying for the RFC.
Nice low level flypast of a Dakota and shades of WMMS as the fire alarm had a seizure around lunchtime.
Thanks to Tim and Neil for all the help on the WW1 table - Flying Helmut at his imperial best.
I suppose I should call out a hello to those on the Boaty McBoatface table (The Wingco, Boney10, Maverick, Rebel and Capt. Kiwi) - John Biggles was there but he had been at the dressing up box again and was doing something that didn't include boats or planes.
Hope you all had a safe journey home chaps...
Never Knowingly Undergunned !!
Which one? This chappie ...
Note: There is indeed a bloke stood in the doorway waving to us on the ground - we reckoned this flypast was at 500 feet. BBMF C-47A Dakota if it was this same aircraft
Note: This photo was not taken in the southern hemisphere but appears to be upside down ... GOK.

Just emerged from a long soak in the bath - now my feet feel they belong to me again!
Excellent day's gaming - well worth the 3 hour drive to, and then from, the venue.
Great to see the Wingco, Neil, Chris, Chris, Maverick, Reg and Captain Kiwi (and John Biggles, funny clothes notwithstanding).
First time out for my Pfalz XIIs, first massacre of the opposition! AAR to follow, when I've had some sleep and caught up on the cricket.
I laugh in the face of danger - then I hide until it goes away!
Good to see evryone at
Partizan today, had a good day all in all. Although I Was busy sailing and talking boats I did see Tims Phalz in action, did they look good or what.
After a day of sails again with no punters, we had a couple of good games between us,
I think it may well be time to come back to WGF, now where are my SE5 that need painting.
Scores not withstanding I must add my Fokker Dr1 did sterling work. 2 kills, and on fire and survived the game! Pics and small write up to follow. Must add those Pfalz were awesome.
Just to put icing on cake, 2 Pfalz, 1 Fokker DVII and 1 Fokker Dr1 took on 3 RE8's, 5 Camels and 1 SE5. And the final score I think was 9:0 to the Luftstreitkraft.
See you on the Dark Side......
Some pics of Tim and Chris's magnificent set up:
Tim surveys the scene before the start.
The display at the other end.
Some of Tim's fantastic collection.
2 Pfalz skirt the cloud to come in behind the 2 RE8's.
Perfect set up.
Even better AA fire!
and a camel on fire to boot.
my mistake..make that 2 camels on fire!
an RE8 lands (crashes) just short of the target.
and number 2's bombs miss the target.
"Oh I do like to be beside the sea side". Tims magnificent terrain.
Now who is this cheeky chappy?
Camel goes down. Don't the British like this factory. They seem intent on crashing around it! (2:0).
Now who got me?..I'm on fire!
AA fire makes it (4:0)
Reinforcements, an SE5 and in the distance..it can't be...you're mistaken...no it is...it's Chris in a Bristol. Oh I am a cheeky chappy aren't I? Oh, did I mention the fire is out..well it is and I'm still here.
Oh wait, what's this? A Bristol flown by Chris has just popped out in front of my guns! Would be a great pity to not take advantage of that nice Bristol popping out of the clouds in front of my twin maxim machine guns ........................................................................................................................................................................
(sorry got carried away)
"Sorry Chris was that a boom card I see in your hand?" (5:0)
Apologies I didn't take anymore pics after this one, I was too elated, But Tim shot down 2 more to make it 7:0. Later on he shot down another 2 camels to make the final score 9:0.
Great day, didn't get shot down or sunk (but that's another story).

See you on the Dark Side......
Great coverage of the game Neil, and I like that cheeky chappie in his Triplane. Now just who could he be I wonder?
