I have received a mail today askng if we wish to put on a game at this show for this year.
The date is on Sunday 22nd May 2016.
The venue has changed for this year and it will be held at the George Stephenson Hall, Newark Show ground.
This is
I think the same venue as Hammerhead and is very spacious so this is a big change.
Any interest let me know asap and Ill send off the reply.

PROVISIONALLY like to attend. Let me get out of rehab first before I commit to anything else ... Especially if I cannot do Hammerhead this year.

You are right used to be at Kelham hall - the new place much more suitable and it has a Vulcan on display outside the adjoining air museum - yes it has an adjoining air museum...
At least I don't get religious flashbacks at the new place ( my parents used to take me to Kelham Hall when it was still a monastery)

That's right - Newark Air Museum where XM594 is open to the public at weekends. 15 minute talks cost £1.00. Admission to the Museum itself is £6.00 for adults and it's well worth a visit if one has time.

Wonder if it will be held in the same building as the Hammerhead events are held in - Brunel Building.

Speaking of Flashbacks ... Look on the Hammerhead 2016 thread and you'll see how a certain friend of mine was trying to intice me to join him at Hammerhead 2016 with Vulcans Next Door At NAM ... Then he unfortunately had to leave us!

Yes this year is the first at this venue for this show, a vast improvement on Kelham Hall in my opinion.

I have received a letter today from the organisers confirming 2 tables 8 x 6 with 4/6 chairs for each

so its WWI and Sails as normal offering(s) at shows.

Trophies up for grabs-

Patizan shield for best participation game,

Editors shield for best overall agme
(Wargames Illustrated, Wargames Soldiers & Miniature Wargames editors will decide)

Doors open at 10.00am for visitors / punters

set up from 09.00am...

Please confirm attandance and which table../ game

I believe Chris (Boney10) and myself will run the Sails of Glory...

Who's up for running / participating in the WWI...?

My 400's are at your disposal dear chap, just don't Razee them into large "Biffs" please.
I will take part on both tables during the day, but endevour to avoid any Islands in the process.

Hi Tim, standard doors open for 1000 we getting there for around 0900 to set up.

Can you bring your WW1 kit please, ill bring my sails and mat box in case extras needed.
If you want any extra planes.. Ha of course you do.. Let me know.
Chris (Hedeby) will be there and he bringing some HP for a raid.
