Mission Covert Landing by Halberstadt into enemy territory to pick up an operative with vital information. Protection supplied by a pilot from the Prussian Knights of Jasta 85
Captain Kiwi planning his tactics
Two British Camels on routine patrol spot the EA's
Halberstadt approaches the landing zone with Fokker DV11 from the PK's forward of him
The Camels approach as the Halberstadt heads for the landing area. The DV11 manoeuvres in between the Halberstadt and the camels hoping to ward off any attack
Halberstadt on approach the DV11flies over to tackle the camel threat
Some very clever manoeuvring by the camels throws the DV11 of course and away from the action and puts the Camels right behind the Halberstadt
Text book landing by the Halberstadt pilot
However excellent shooting by the Camel pilots putting the Halberstadt on fire as it lands
Using 3 moves to turn the aircraft and 1 house rule of no movement to put the fire out left the Halberstadt a sitting duck on the ground and taking severe and substantial damage from the Camels "Game Over"
The PK DV11 was out of his depth and out of the fight inexperience showed against the supurb team work and clever flying of the British Pilots Well Done!
