I am repainting a Kette III.9/KG53 using Mehusla's decals . My question is do all planes in Kette have the formation marks on starboard wing and tail ? That is the 3 white strips. Also on a faster note a 109E question . I have been looking for a Schwarm Gruppe I and IV BOB . Any color profiles or other info would be a great help. Thanks a bundle

No. The WoG plane is a Kette (flight) leader, I think. Other planes in the squadron would have different markings. I did that research for my Kette Raid scenario. I used the underwing markings for my planes, but added them to the upper wing tips, for reference on the table. The "B" and "C" markings would not normally appear on the upper wing.

The WoG plane has a "D" under the wing, denoting it's "plane" ID, from it's fuselage markings: A1+DA

I used A1+BA, with "B" on the upper wing, and A1+CA, with "C" on the upper wing, for each of the "decoys".

Yes - though the only other such markings like this which spring to my mind are yellow which denotes Squadron Leader.

I am using Mehusla's decals YK-90-1-200 They do not give me more info than Bf.109 Schwarm 1939-43 Gruppe IandIV hope this info helps thanks
