Thread: Hanger tray storage option

    Default Hanger tray storage option

I found an alternative to carry bags for storing your hanger trays full of planes. I have 3 bags, which should be enough for almost any show, so I looked for easier, stackable storage.
At Staples, there is the IRIS® 46 Quart Weathertight Plastic Storage Box:

    It can hold 16 trays:

There is a space the thickness of a hanger tray to spare (a bit more at the top):

And the top is quite secure:

I don't know how availability is outside of the USA, but I ordered a 6pack on-line here:

Nice to know, Karl! This looks like a great product, and it certainly makes 'carrying all your eggs in one basket' a lot easier...

I shall have to look around down here for one - don't think I quite need a six-pack just yet...

    All the best,
    Matt

I wish my "eggs" were in a single basket. Hence the 6pack

    Thumbs up

    G'day Karl!
Yes indeed I have one very similar purchased from a local "Silly Willies" store.

This is cool idea... I do something similar, but with smaller tubs from Target. I think each can hold 7 trays...

I'll post a link and some pics later today or tomorrow.

Nice find, but I need an addition to my house . . . . those pesky elves have to go some day! Hey maybe I should get them to make an addition to the house . . .

I'm approaching the same problem; probably me and the missus will be having several yard sales the next couple years

I might need 9 yards for the sales, yes
And I have a lot more than 9 times 9 yards of fabric to get rid of

That is a sweet storage solution there. I was looking at the trays in the store, very nice but I could not find where the dimensions were stated. I saw the height, but not the width/depth measurements. Anybody help an old man out?

They'll do it, but only at 1/144 scale.
