    Buon anno a tutti.

    A presto

3C was NJG 4 or 6, depending on the year...

Stats are being researched, so the card is still a draft.

Now placed on a Heavy Bomber base, 8cm not 6.5cm in length, so a variant of the D deck, omitting all the tighter turns and sideslips.

The damage is still in discussion, with this plane possibly being lighter and faster than J and M versions. Extra crew armour, so some modification may be coming for crew damage?

See this thread for the discussion: Dornier Do.217 Stats Anyone?

PS: No idea what unit "HK+NO" belongs to. Random decals?

I am not agrre about the use of bomber base.
The dimension of Do 217N are quite similar to HF.
About the damage number for me may be ok.
But I prefer to use H card without 7-8-9-10-13-14 cards for the similai max velocity.

    Thanks Mike

    "HK+NO" is the 6/NJG 200 in Roumania, summer 1944.

    Carlo,
I believe that the use of the heavy bomber base and the D Maneuver deck is to approximate the speed of the plane more accurately. Most bombers use the X decks, which are very slow. Using a D deck, and the size of the heavy bomber base, you get a faster plane. Check out the movement side-by-side, and see how far each moves (H deck on a heavy fighter stand versus a D deck on a heavy bomber stand). Take your choice, as this is unofficial.

I'm still waiting for feedback, before declaring a "final" version.

I can't find anything for NJG200 with the squadron code HK (8V was the only registered code for that unit), nor verify if it was in Romania. Nonetheless, I did this card for the plane:

You're right, "HK" does not correspond to any unit, according to Alfred Price "The Luftwaffe data book" Greenhill Books 1997.
The correct code could be 8V+NP?
But I found the design on Janus Ledwoch "Dornier 217 J / N" Wydawnictwo Militaria 1998 and on this I based to paint the model.
    Your card is Ok.
