They look good. Are they 1/200 or 1/144 scale? I didn't see the plane on the Zvezda USA website.
1/200. Go together real nice. I replaced the rear canopy on 0202 with a turret.
See you on the Dark Side......
Tasty planes Neil, like the turret addition
I'm learning to fly, but I ain't got wings
Coming down is the hardest thing
With CR32's, Hawk III, PI-16, P43A, P40B, Gladiator plus the SB2's my Chinese Airforce is coming along. I just have to paint the G3M's, NAte's, Claude', Pete's, Sally's and Ann's for the opposition too.
I can now cover 1938 through to mid 42 for the Pacific and I think that's as far as I want to go.
See you on the Dark Side......
Those are very nice. You are going a lot further than I want to.
Very fun planes, Neil! I love the Chinese insignia - I've always thought it a cool emblem...and the addition of the turret on 202 is a nice touch - is that scratch-built or did you pirate it from another model?
Keep up the lovely work (as I know you shall...) Even though it's not my time period or area of interest, I really do like what you're doing with these!
All the best,
Matt

Mike that is a fantastic card for 0202, cheers. And yes you did in #8 above.
The turret is scratch built but taking a look at my Blenheims you could use that at a pinch.
Did I thank you for the card Mike? It's fantastic and the background just makes it.
Neil
See you on the Dark Side......
Mike I owe you not only a very big thank you but a very big thank you.
So THANK YOU.
If I can do anything for you let me know and if I can I will.
Ever grateful, Neil.
See you on the Dark Side......
Merry Christmas a bit late, or really early (360 days?)?

A bit late to the party, but what deck do you use with these, Skafloc?
The internets tell me that an SB had a maximum speed of 450 km h-1, while the Fiat Falco had 441 km h-1 (though at different altitudes), so maybe the L deck with any more-agile manoeuvres removed? The Stuka and Gladiator are too slow and it seems everything else is too fast.
The brown one with the turret is particularly lovely.

Congrats to both Neil and Mike.
The planes and cards are pretty amazing.
This thread got me enthused and I went out to scour the city for this kit. Here 'tis:
The black thing is a stand, so that gets thrown over the shoulder. The card is for Zvezda's game, Art of Tactic, which I am currently battling the urge to purchase. The plane can be made with the landing gears up or down, which is good for us.
Obviously, don't be expecting the Ares Yak to be included.

Hi all,
I got this thing painted!
I used the Litvyak Yak-1 colour scheme and various pictures on the internets as a basis. There are also some more pictures in my galleries. Being that this is a scale model that Zvezda have seconded into wargaming service, certain parts are very flimsy. I replaced the pitot pipe and antenna with pins, tried to reinforce the props with super glue and PVA, and am directing good vibes at the rear wheel.
Usually the form of slogan I used would say "For Stalin!", but what with him being a mass-murdering baddie and all I went for something more personal. This one says "For Swancott!" after a fellow who was a regular at the pub next to my old uni. Like the SB, he was an old Red workhorse, and with his interest in discredited political systems and my interest in the war, we would often take refuge from yet another boring soccer discussion by saying "So, how about that T-34 front armour?", hence the number on the tail. Sadly, we never discussed bombers, and never shall; a few years ago Mr. Swancott attended his annual medical check-up, was declared to be in fine health, and promptly dropped dead on the pavement out the front of the doctor's surgery. Very embarrassing for that doctor.
So, for Swancott!

Stunning bird!
REP!
Live the greens you've used on this, Paul! It looks striking. Not my area of interest, but it's a lovely job...
All the best,
Matt
Without the WoG base I wouldn't believe it's 1/200 scale
2 SB-2's, one Soviet, one Chinese. and a few others.
These are my two SB-2 from AIM.
They were affecionly named Katyusha in Spain.
They were at the time probably the most advanced fast bomber in the world.
The Nationalist had a hard time trying to catch this girl.
Nice job - horrible camo scheme to paint, but very striking.
Looks like a lot of time..... well spent. Love the engine staining.
Thanks Peter.
I do like the colours of these SB-2's.
Yet another superb job with lots of attention to detail.
Well done Quim.

Very nice job, Joaquim; not a camo scheme I would want to do , but you pulled it off nicely.

I can't believe I never posted my SB-2s on this thread.
