"Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death."
From what Dave mentioned in the main 2016 show thread we need to move on this fast to ensure a table.
Neil
See you on the Dark Side......

I have a thumbs up and a booking form !
Sapiens qui vigilat... "He is wise who watches"
And now we have a table !
Sapiens qui vigilat... "He is wise who watches"
I am still working on trying to be there.
Rob.
"Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death."
I can make it - GAME ON!
And then there were two !
Sapiens qui vigilat... "He is wise who watches"
I will definitely attend and assist
Now you have 3.
See you on the Dark Side......
With Boney, Bogue & Guntruck we have six - we will see if more from the local flights appear on the day.
Sapiens qui vigilat... "He is wise who watches"
There are only four freebie tickets allocated per game - I did ask for more but like this game - No Dice !
First responders - Me, Tim, Ajay, I'll let Chris & Nige fight over the last one - everyone else should buy a ticket from the BIC ticket office.
There is a link on the Beachhead site http://entoyment.co.uk/beachhead-2016/4588774837
Note from the BIC site: "To avoid congestion we strongly recommend that you allow up to an hour before the event commencement time to find a parking space. Visit our Parking page for details of our car parks and others within walking distance of the BIC and Bournemouth Pavilion."
The link didn't work but the warning is obvious or is that ominous !
Paging Mick Owen - any recommendations for parking ?
Sapiens qui vigilat... "He is wise who watches"
I know what you like !
Sapiens qui vigilat... "He is wise who watches"
There are a few pay and display car parks around the BIC. Free all day parking further out. Given the time of year, parking in the West Cliff area should be easy to find. There was a lot of development going on in the summer of 2015 when I was last in Bournemouth and I drove around for quite some time before parking 15 mins out. The car park direction signs left a lot to be desired.
How much is a ticket? I may be able to make it
It's a fiver DM. There's a link via the link in post #16 !
Sapiens qui vigilat... "He is wise who watches"
Apologies guys, but due to unforseen circumstances will not be able to attend this one as planned.
Hopefully will see you all later in the year at other venues.
Sorry
Sorry to hear that Chris, is Nige still coming ? If not I have a ticket to re allocate.
Sapiens qui vigilat... "He is wise who watches"
I may be able to take Chris' place if needed.
I noticed that too but they confirmed the bigger table last week so we're on ! Obviously not updated the site.
Let me know soon as
Sapiens qui vigilat... "He is wise who watches"
Hi,
I am coming to Bournemouth, should get there @0930 traffic willing.
Nige
Cheers Nigel, the final ticket is yours.
Sapiens qui vigilat... "He is wise who watches"
Well not long now chaps !
Those we know are attending:
Flash, Flying Helmut, Ajay, DM, Guntruck; plus 'Bear' (a non forum rookie pilot venturing into his first wargame show !)
MickOwenuk will also be there as part of the Beachhead team & I hope he gets a moment to join us.
(Bogue, sadly, has been grounded by technical issues!)
Itinerary as sent by the Beachhead Team:
08.00 Organiser, exhibitors and demonstrators on site
09.00 Tournaments to start
10.00 Show opens to the public
10.00 Solent Bar to open
12 noon Lunch for tournament participants
18.00 Show closes
18.00 Breakdown of exhibition
1900 Building clear
We have an 8x4 table ... somewhere... for gaming & a small display.
As usual this will be a participation table and we will be showing off the virtues of WGF to the punters using mid to late war types throughout the day as supplied by Tim - Flying (No Sails) Helmut. For those attending if you have a unique fave repaint you want to play then bring it along; my captured N.17 will make an appearance along with it's late war Fok D.VII counterpart and my new repaint from the D.VII repaint comp along with some other odd types that I have painted over the years.. we might even break out a Giant if they've made landfall by then.
Anyone out there who's attending this inaugural wargame event please come and make yourself known and have a game with us.
Tickets for the event are Ł5 per head, children under 13 are free. You can purchase tickets through the Bournemouth International Centre's box office via the link below.

Really looking forward to this!
I'll be there but it sure as hell won't be at 8!
Will be able to put in a couple of hours.
Run for your life - there are stupid people everywhere!
Me either, reliant on a lift so hope to be there 09.15ish.
Should be a little chaotic as the BIC won't let traders in the night before, like some places do, so they will all be trying to get in & set up in the first couple of hours along with the gamers & tourney players !
Sapiens qui vigilat... "He is wise who watches"
Confirmed, I will be there. I'll aim to get there as early as I can.
Nearly there now chaps - just packing to be ready to head down to my daughter's place in Poole tomorrow. May even get to drop in at Entoyment if I plan it right ! Looking forward to the show & showing off Wings of Glory once again.
Safe journey all and I'll see you at the table on Saturday.
Sapiens qui vigilat... "He is wise who watches"

"Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death."
We currently have two Staakens on the table here in what we think is the first public outing for the Kickstarter Giants. They are absolute beasts
Pictures later
Mission accomplished, Beachhead was a huge success and we had plenty of interest around our table throughout the day.
Big thankyou to the chaps involved for their commitment -Tim, Ajay, DM & Steve.
Photos will come in due course I'm sure but probably after the weekend.
Sapiens qui vigilat... "He is wise who watches"
A jolly good time was had by all.
Something that came up (and miraculously I remembered) - who wants a template for the Wings of Glory 'business card' with their details on? Dave? Tim?
