OK, they think it's a blanket. We know it's a washable, foldable game mat, printed with whatever aeriel photo we want on it..

It looks a good idea. If you order one, Zoe, please post a picture of it showing the map you chose.
Zoe, what a fantastic idea - 6 feet by 4 feet is massive ... Question is which location to have on it of course?
Playing surface should be OK for moving around on if photographs are to be reproduced on these blankets. Would cover the dining room table I use regularly leaving just about enough space uncovered for aircraft consoles and equipment etc.
Excellent. Now I can take a photo of my boss and drop bombs on him
Seriously though, are you planning on using one at Cancon Zoe?
My choice of location photo would be work-related too for the very same reason - aerial photo of the airfield our Flight School is based at. Ready for the next time I am unable to appear at a gaming event because I've had to divert my attention away towards work instead! This has happened twice now ... Lucky me!
That is one great idea!
The price doubles soon - if you want one, let me know, I'll buy the discount coupon, and you can order later.
I have discovered that there are some U.K. companies that print photo blankets. Here are a couple:

I have not bought anything from these companies, so I cannot say how good their work is.
Thinking way out of the box! Excellent idea . . . why do we have limits on reps?!? It is enough to make me swear!!!!!!!! Sorry.
It might be a good idea to move this Thread into a more general Forum so more people can see it.
I copied the essentials into the Officer's Club.

Better than I expected.
Looks truly magnificent Zoe.
