Default Thanksgiving Day: A Sobering Thought ...

In 1992 American Rock Legend Bruce Springsteen penned one of my favourite songs of all time and those of you who know me well will laugh at this confession:

    57 Channels And Nothing's On ...

A sobering thought this Thanksgiving Day is how at the Imperial (American) War Museum at Duxford in Cambridgshire there are 52 panels. But with everything on ... Here are just 25 of them. All 52 of these panels denote American aircraft which were lost in the ETO during World War 2 - these are being posted with permission and when I go and pay this site a visit next year I will bring back a fresh set of our own unless of course I'm beaten to it ...

    Maybe Gone But Never Forgotten

Certainly is a great deal of thanks we owe our American cousins there.
We know the numbers, but seeing it graphically displayed like that certainly brings it home more.

Amazing and so sobering to see that (1/2) graphic. So sad what the world has to go through to rid itself of evil.

    Sobering indeed!
Then you have to add the losses in the Pacific Area.
