Thank you very much for posting Steve - this looks excellent and may be similar to Chevaliers du Ciel which is / was a French WW1 documentary.

Watched it with subtitles. If it is on Youtube and nobody minds the subtitles I will post it Pressing play now - Cheers

You're welcome. I'm always open to new documentaries, and I have no issues with subtitles.

You are also very welcome. I really like proper talking heads documentaries, you get a much better feel for things than with the ones with over excited American narrators and repeated incorrect footage

Thank you for this video, Steve. I believe that I may have seen it a long time ago but it was good to watch again.

Nice one Steve, full of very interesting characters:
    'Freddie' West VC - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freddie_West,
Gwilym Lewis, author of 'Wings over the Somme' - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gwilym_Hugh_Lewis
    Lord Balfour of Inchrye https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harold...our_of_Inchrye
    Leonard 'Tich' Rochford - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_Henry_Rochford
    Sir Donald Hardman - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Hardman

Some great footage, even if the soundtrack of the flying aircraft sequences is a little 'Merlinesque' !

I just loved it when he was just throwing names around, oh Billy Bishop, I trained him!
But that's why I prefer more personal documentaries.
