Right, after some considerable faffage, I reckon that I can be up for this! It's an early start following a late night so I hope the coffee is strong and plentiful!

Anything I need to bring, or do, to help?

PS. Is there a website, Facebook event or anything similar that links to the rest of the show?

    Edit -found it: http://wargamershow.tripod.com/index.html

    Hi Alex
If you would Like to bring your own aircraft assuming its WWI?
    that would be great...

Not sure how many we will get attending,
This is a first for the Aerodrome..

But I am sure fun will be had by all...

    I intend to start with a Fokker DR1 - V - Sopwith Camel ~ shoot them up

Then a twin seater / objective based game ~ photographic ~ not getting shot down

Then perhaps an escape to glory stile shooty uppy finale...

I have plenty of Game mats....

but more of the game turn boards for placing the cards on if you have them?

Other than that / I think ...hope i have everything required...?

Look forward to seeing you on the 6th.....about 9am

Hello chaps, firstly an overdue apology for being AWOL, I've been busy helping my wife Catherine look after our baby daughter Zoe, and I've also been busy with work, so I've not had time to play some games. If I've got clearence from my swmbo and mini me, I'd like to come along if that's alright, it would be great to see you chaps again before Christmas.

Gutted I can't make it, would have been great to have had a catch up Mark - its been too long.
You seriously need to try and get to Doncaster this year - you and Haydn

Good day yesterday, had an enjoyable time.
Not many punters at the show, but it is near to Xmas , what it did do was give some of us the chance to have a few games amongst ourselves. Was good to see familiar and new forum faces, hope to see you all again soon.
Some disturbing news ref Stafford games, see seperate thread, but there may be a light there also.
    Personally
I enjoyed the show and will go again next year, the organiser has already said we can take if for granted we have a space and the organiser for WMMS was there also so we got two tables booked for there also, see Simons entry in the shows thread, yes Tim we got Sails specially for you
Will post pics later this week, some great games and lots of Boom cards all bar one going to Central powers planes

Recon on Saturday seemed quieter than usual this weekend too. In spite of the December date it's usually quite a lively little show, but definitely seemed a bit sparse this year - I wound up bailing early, which is a first for me. It was nice to see some Wings Of Glory there though - the Headingley club had a game on.

As previously mentioned, quite a quiet show but nevertheless good fun, and a chance to get a couple of scraps in. Here's a few of the pics from yesterday (not as good as normal, but I had the wrong lens on the camera).

I've fancied playing a bomber scenario for a while, and finally got to here. The SPADs gave the Gotha's a good mauling, losing two or three quite early which were allowed to re-spawn. Had the losses not been replaced I fancy at least one Gotha would have completed the run and got home again.

The SPADs actually managed some nice flying and chewed up the Gothas from the blindspots rather well.

Final scrap of the day - Halberstadts vs F2Bs (which were all treated as B/B armed for the sake of fairness.)

Alex those pictures are bang on! Bringing across the action nicely and had you not mentioned it the wrong camera lens business isn't really apparent at all

Well done everyone for proudly representing both the game and the Aerodrome at this event
