I did once attend SELWG... took the plane from Bremen to Heathrow, then the tube, then a train over the Thames... and back the same day (fortuitous special on same-day airfares). Had to ask directions from a nice bloke at a garage after I got off the train. Really helpful chap, hope I run into him again one day.

Yeah, you could say that !
This is my half of the haul, Ajay snagged the rest... and yes, the sticker price is what was paid !
Four quid for each and beating my previous best for a Goering Fokker D.VII by Ł1.76 !
    Which was nice

WGS are Vybral & Molders; Worther & Kaneko - my first, and probably last WW2 acquisitions.

Good one Dave. Ended up with a box of plastic Vikings and a book on the Vichy French Air Force 'cos nobody else had what I wanted. Saved a mint

Nice catch Dave! Had I been at SELWG too instead of Vulcan hunting I would probably bagged those four WGS aircraft

They were being sold by a trader who said he wasn't using them and though he knew they were probably worth more just wanted to clear them out ... we assured him we could help with that and promptly bought the lot !!

Right place, right time, and right buyers (Aerodrome members)!

Hope to find something similar at Warfare.

4 squid for an original Richthofen? Which trader was it who needed his bumps felt?

Perhaps while you were entertaining you should have sent one of your footmen down to SELWG

Anyone take any photos of the event yesterday? Not being able to make it, I'm quite interested on what was on display.

Also, any regular attendees care to comment on numbers. Apparently it seemed quieter yesterday than in previous years.

No pics from me Neil so you may have to wait for their official pics; it did seem a little quieter to me but I know from Gunners experiences there was some trouble with the trains & underground as well as the parking was limited to grass verges as the main gates were closed - whether that had a bearing on anything who knows ?!

4 feckin' hours to do a 90 minute journey. To say I was hacked off when I got there was an understatement!

Only stayed an hour then repaired to the hostelry of choice, where we spent somewhat longer But did think it was quieter than normal, with a couple of the big traders not there this year.

Seemed rude not to Rob - Ajay snagged the rest - couple of DH4, Roland CL,II, Jentsch Alb, Camel, Spads.
There were incomplete copies of FA & WYB there too for a tenner each (if any 'drome person picked them up I found some damage cards in with one of my models - its last fatal damage by the looks of it - pm me and I can get them back to you !)
