Indeed!
Great pictures, as a grand accompaniment to a good fun game.
My thanks on both counts!
Super pics & it looked like a super game.
Pretty much nailed it Neil - more smoke on the Italians and a bit more flak in the sky is all that's needed !

The game did look great (and lot's of fun). The only difference with reality (as was noted elsewhere) is that the carrier and BB would have been outside the convoy, so that they could maneuver.
I understand their placement for the game, though.
I don't know if the British used their BBs as AAA platforms to the extent that the USN did in the pacific.

If you look at all the ships, including the armed merchants, the merchants carried more AA individually than each individual RN ship. Only difference they didn't have fire control.
Tim gave me some excellent ideas for the AA fire and bombing/torpedo run ins. But I don't have much free time to give to it this month. It is my priority to get the new rules done before the new year though.

See you on the Dark Side......
RN did pile on but late war, didn't learn their lessons early enough.
See you on the Dark Side......
Good co-operation you chaps !

It was a great game to take part in, and one which I could never have managed in my Solo Malta campaign.
Together with Tarranto last year it fills in those gaps very nicely.
Next time Rommel's convoys get it.

Doncaster is administered by the committee, it is you the members who put on the games.
