Default Something else to put your sarnies in

So, having got a very nice metal tin from our local gift shop previously (See here for details) I had another mooch round today and came out with this:

Slightly deeper than the previous tin, I'm sure it will hold a bottle of Spitfire ale. Now all I need to do is go and get a few bottles to test the theory

Very similar to my Stewarts Shortbread tins but bigger - I use mine for carrying Wings of Glory scenery and accessories around in. Nice illustration of the Spitfire Mk II too

Found this tin online here: Flightstore.co.uk - Aviation Gifts - Storage Tins and Boxes

With shipping, this is almost $40 Cdn dollars. Darn!

    So-o pretty, but so-o expensive.

That is a good looking tin, Steve. It seems too good to use as a lunchbox.

And some of it very very common where I came from originally. Del Boy country - Peckham.
Like the tin but I think I'll stick with the KR boxes.

    Thumbs up

Might not be quite big enough for "sarnies" but the Pup one is ideal for holding my range of Fire & Smoke markers & the small WW2 one is perfect for some WW2 3D scenery!

Yes Baz I have plastic boxes for my WW2 stuff just about that size, but those are much nicer. I have one of the WWI tins but not the WW2 one yet.

    G'day Steve!
Mate, they were in a gift shop in Moruya & my daughter brought me the Pup tin & I went in & grabbed the WW2 one when I found out where she got it. They had both designs in large & small sizes.
They are all gone now unfortunately.

Cheers Baz. In that case I won't drop in on the way to the shops.
