Sadly I don't think I will make it this year.
Run for your life - there are stupid people everywhere!
Now that news has just spoilt my day Gunners.Really saddened to hear this news.

Sorry to hear that also Steve, unfortunately I may be in the same boat due to personal circumstances
Oh! There will be sails don't worry.

Very sorry to learn about the latest Members who may have to pass up on Doncaster this year.
Sails - sounds good as despite all of the occasions where I thought I may get a game in I have yet to play. Mostly down to my ill-health I hasten to add ...
I'll run the sails in Chris absence but here's hoping he can still make it.
See you on the Dark Side......
That's the spirit Neil Rum , Soddemy and the Lash or a bit of Gin eh Rob
I'm learning to fly, but I ain't got wings
Coming down is the hardest thing
I'd settle for just getting out of bed

Looks like we could have a short programme then!
See you on the Dark Side......
Don't worry Barney.
The tablets I'm on are going to severely cut down my intake of G&T this year.
Unlike last years healthy consumption, I'm limited to about two doubles now before I fall over.
It's just a good job Kyte is not subjected to these strictures by the MO.
Cheers!!
Rob.

Same restrictions apply even though my meds have changed over Sir. Until I remembered how healthily used the helicopter landing area at SYAM is by our caravanning / camping Members I thought that there is always one thing which could lengthen the programme and wake us all up from a drunken slumber.
DROPPER CHOPPER. Or somebody we know from Chopper Squad could always drop in and pay us a visit. Subject to operational requirements SY99 would be perfect - this is still an MD-902 Explorer and I believe David Whistance is now one of the senior pilots with SY Police Air Support. But should the landing area be obstructed nobody is likely to chance a landing there - it's tight enough to land at SYAM as it is.
Never arranged a D/C there before but actually took part in one at Winthorpe Aerodrome / Newark Air Museum towards the tail-end of 2008. This was a fun exercise and the shop staff admitted that because they saw a yellow helicopter landing that it may have been Prince William ... Nope only me waiting for a lift two hours later and dropping in from Wickenby. EC135P2 aircraft then flew D-> North Weald in Essex courtesy of other guys from HeliEurope on board
Now I know we can use the fridge - there is no excuse not to have it crammed with beer....Cheers everyone... (unless of course I am regimental taxi driver in which case it will be water and decaf tea.. sigh !)
Never Knowingly Undergunned !!
Well, well, well. Should not we think of taking slots for the games we plan to run/participate in? If so, let me ask for a table for up to 8-player WGS very historically based game I would like to organize and run.
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
Going to start a new thread shortly with the programme etc.
See you on the Dark Side......
End of next week for new Doncaster thread confirming games, slots and open for players to book slots.

Hey chaps - just a thought... how about we have a Bring and Buy table at our get together - after all we are all similarly interested and we usually peruse such tables with much interest at the various shows... might be worthwhile? we could always donate 5 or 10% to either the museum or the lend lease?
What do we think?
Never Knowingly Undergunned !!
I'm good for that Chris

Does it mean an offer aimed at a general audience coming in, Paul?
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
Not as things are at the moment Andy.
We do so many shows in the year that this is really one for us to relax at like Prague.

As Rob said its a chance for us to offer and buy items with the profit going to the Drome . That is with the exception of the stotties and pease puddin which is ours ( assuming Neil is still up for it ) our special treat.
