Hi Folks,
Here are three recent acquisitions. I am impressed with their quality; the rulebooks are quite nice. The games are produced by Instytut Pamięci Narodowej. I included links to BGG for anyone interested.

I played 303 several times and it is a good game. A fine way to teach history (and it is online). Recommended!
Any experiences with the other ones?
PS: A big for Polish National Institute of Memory.
I have all three (straight from Poland, no less). Using the air-to-ground rules from _7_, one can in fact expand the games to cover a myriad of scenarios....
Very cool, Chris. We'll make our inaugural flight with 7 on Friday.
Daniel, Sue and I hope to play one each Friday after work for the next three weeks. I will post our experiences, accordingly.

303 has piqued my interest, but the others look good as well..........for the wishlist, perhaps.
The air-combat system is similar for all three, so learning one means one is most of the way to learning the rest.
At an offhand guess, I'd say _7_ is the easiest for the Polish player (the Soviet shock-army is slow, and doesn't shoot back much); then _303_ (best-balanced of the bunch); then _111_ (the PZLs, sad to say, are Rubbish in firepower).
What the PZLs lack in firepower they MORE than make up for in style - one of my absolute favorite planes of the 30s...
All the best,
Matt
I have seen 303 in Prague at the Prague Summer Con. Pretty nice!
Ok, I need 5 of them.
Where do you suggest to buy them?
Do they all have English rules included?
Which one do you suggest as a gift to a friend?
I got mine via BoardGameGeek: http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/83092/303 .
I was fortunate to see a posting on BGG in which a member was returning to Poland for a visit. He picked these up and sent them to me. His username is kochamkinie. He is returning to Poland in October, I believe, so he might be worth contacting. My username on BGG is 7eat51 as well if you try contacting him. If you desire, I can ask him on your behalf.
Yes, there are English rules, and the one set I read were well written and illustrated.
As for which game, I would say whichever theme. Sue and I were planning on playing one on each of the upcoming Fridays, but I believe we can easily play all three this weekend. I will share my thoughts here after we play.
Andrea, we ran a WGS game last night at our FLGS. Everyone had a very fun time. Thanks again for these wonderful games.

7: The Defense of Lwow is awesome!! Unique and great fun, with a fascinating history behind it, beautifully told in the rulebook and through the game itself. There is no other game portraying Polish Ansaldo Balillas and Albatros D.III's bombing and strafing Bolshevik cavalry, the latter urged on at gunpoint by commissar Josef Stalin! (Did you know that Merian C. Cooper, the creator of King Kong, flew for the Polish squadron?) Quick and tidy, but with some real decision-making, tactical options and suspense. Plays great back-to-back, with opponents switching sides for the second game. Any WGF fan would love this game!
Nightbomber just gave me this as a present before he left on Monday.

I am happy you like the games, chaps. Not blowing our own trumpet, but for the ease of play, production quality and educational aspect, their are truly real gems.
The unknown history included in "Defense of Lvov" with Merian Cooper and other American volunteers flying with their Polish friends - is very moving.
Below you can see my older daughter (on school trip) posing in front of the monument of those brave American flyers erected before the Second War in times when Lvov belonged to Poland.
Of course during the Soviet rule on this territory the monument was partially detroyed on purpose, but then restored after 1989, thanks to Polish activists and donations.
The writing says: "To Americans fallen during the fights for Poland in years 1919-1920".

Thanks a lot for all the info, I am now after the games - I will tell you how it goes. I found traslated rules on Boardgamegeek, but since I plan to do a couplňe of gifts with them too I am glad that translations are inside. Thanks again!!!
I am now ordering from Lexicon, that takes care of international orders on behalf of Institute of National Remembrance. So not to bother any kind fellow gamer. I will let you know. Thanks!

I have 303.
A nice game we played a few times.
It was a present form Oberschlesien.
Voilŕ le soleil d'Austerlitz!
If you have any difficulty securing the games, please let me know.
Sue and I are going to play "7" this afternoon. I played a few turns last night just to practice the rules, and though the game is quite simple from a rules standpoint, I already see several strategic and tactical options for each side. I think these games will be similar to checkers in that sense - easy to learn, but deeper than first blush.

I have ordered all three games directly from Poland using the link I posted above. I had to make use of Google Chrome's translation facility.
My copies of the '7', '111' and '303' games arrived safely from Poland this morning. That is impressive service.
Got mine yesterday, tightly safe in their well stuffed box. Yes, excellent service indeed!
Have you looked at any?
Though 7 is fairly simple in terms of mechanics and setup, it provides a nice opportunity to employ different approaches to winning. While the roll of the die adds a fun luck element requiring on-the-fly adjustments, the low counter density and small board enable easy response. I can see this as a great lunch break or after dinner game, again, much like checkers.
