Just received the summer 2015 (and my second) issue of Over the Front, the League of World War One Aviation Historians' quarterly journal. This journal is of a similar nature to that produced by Cross & Cockade International.

This edition (Vol. 30, No. 2) includes the following features:
  • "A Month with No. 48 Squadron (Bristol F.2B): Wartime Letters of 2/Lt Sidney H. Whipple, RAF" (compiled by P. Kilduff)
  • A translation of Nachrichtenblatt der Luftstreitkräfte Nr.24 -- summary of German Army aviation activity (translated by J.L. Hayzlett & P. Kilduff)
  • "High Valor and High Casualties: A History of Flieger-Abteilung (A) 235" (by P. Kilduff)
  • A gallery of German two-seaters
  • "The US Military and the Paradigm Shift to Wireless Communications in World War I" (by C.J. Bobrow)
  • A number of book reviews

I'm quite pleased with this edition so far, as it's full of contemporary photographs, a significant number of primary sources, and is well-referenced. I can't speak much beyond this particular volume, but I like what I've seen so far.

It's not cheap, and their website hasn't seen an update for a while, but it's worth a look (as is Cross & Cockade International).
