Voilą le soleil d'Austerlitz!
As has been mentioned - the pictures are in. They're not going anywhere. Today, tomorrow, next week, next month, next year... that doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. What does matter is your health. So while I've been eagerly scanning the site every day to see if the comp entries are up, what the Mystery Prizes are... waiting a bit longer, or even a lot longer, won't make one whit of difference.
Get well. Rest. Let the world turn for a while without you pushing it.
Thanks everyone. I just caught some crud that's going around. We are short handed at work so I could not take any days off to rest Mother nature decided to help me out today and gave us a bad enough blizzard that they closed the base... so a day off after all!
There was a problem with some images not showing up and a missing entry from the original voting thread. I've just now posted the corrected thread for voting here.
And now it works!
Having seen the entries..... voting for the top 3 will be HARD.
I've also just updated the first post of this thread to include the prizes... go have a look at the fabulous swag that is up for grabs!
You have done us proud with those prizes Herr Oberst.

Wow - amazing choice.
Thank you, Herr Oberst!
Voilą le soleil d'Austerlitz!

Wow, great prizes. The winners will have an early Christmas! Thanks for your support Keith!
Splendid choice for prizes, Keith! We're going to have some lucky winners
All the best, and keep feeling better!
Matt
Prizes looking fantastic - especially the WGS Advanced Cockpit ... Wow! Should all work out with our latest WGS investment then one of these each for the Wife and Myself will be next.
I have voted in the competition - Great work everyone
I think the Oberst deserves a medal for his efforts here.
How about yourself Zoe for instigating the idea and refining the entry conditions. It has certainly proved a successful choice of subject.

For all your support REP is a small return for what you do for us all.
And here is what one of the signed cards look like in the frame...
That's pretty cool.
Very tasteful.

Trophy-tastic!
Anyone would be very proud to have that on their mantle!
Voting ends tomorrow, so if you haven't voted already, better hurry.
A wonderful ,tasteful and stylish set of prizes Keith. Well befitting the excellent entries for the comp.
I'm learning to fly, but I ain't got wings
Coming down is the hardest thing
I was very impressed with that trophy design, Keith. With just a change of name of competition, those would do very, very, very well indeed for future comps. They'd definitely encourage more entries.
A big Congrats to Guntruck for taking 1st place with his Heinkel He177 A-5 entry and to Mad Charly for coming in 2nd place with a very nice FW 190 A8/Ju 88 G combo! For Third place we have a tie! Clipper1801's PB4Y-2 "Tortilla Flat" Baldy and black joe's PIAGGIO P 108 were just to close for everyone to decide upon!
Great job everyone that entered and a personal thank you to each of you for making this contest a success!
Congrats to the winners!!
Well deserved!!
Poetry Contest Joaquim ... Now that gets an from me for reasons that we probably share. But I think if one was to be held that it would work - also as a contest it would be able to encompass both WW1 / WGF and WW2 / WGS at the same time as opposed to being orientated towards one game. Or the other ...
Another idea which would encompass both games at once like this would be an art competition - sketches drawings or even paintings of images of the game or images which relate to the game. I'm the type of person whose given a scrap of paper and before one knows it there's something doodled on there. I'm also aware of how many sketches and drawings like this eventually ended up as nose-art during both wars ...
PS - Congratulations to the Contest Winners especially Steve (Guntruck) for taking first place. Hopefully see you in the mess later for a DGP* to celebrate
I was very glad to see Mad Charly's Mistel taking second place in this contest too - Well Done
* by the way stands for Damn Good ... Erm, Party!
Now that the contest is over, I have to thank specially Steve (Guntruck) because my entry was an offer from this amazing gentleman. Congratz and thank you so much, Steve!
Congrats to the winners! Some very impressive planes by all.
