My Wingman Sven, AKA Marechallannes will be visiting my place and stay with me and my family that said weekend Friday to Sunday.
Since it will be his virgin trip to Poland I am preparing a kind of special programme for my honorable guest. Besides some gaming (will we find time to play?) we will travel to some places of interest, like Wrocław (Breslau) and Kraków while accomplishing two secret missions on the way here and there.
It is going to be my bussiest and most exciting weekend right after Doncaster! Just see how Aerodrome changes life and ties bonds of cameraderie.
We will report in this thread how the things are going.

Of Course he will. One point of the agenda is Polish beers tasting. Of course Sven will have to admit that some brands really match the German genuine ones.

The Wing members have been alerted and are standing by. A big air battle for air supremacy over the cliffs of Dover to commemorate the Battle of Britain is planned for Friday evening of 25th. Sven, our honorable guest, will lead the German schwarm as Adolf Galland, the ace. I can not wait to fly as his wingman.

I'm surprisingly grounded for this weekend, comrades.

My supervisor had a circulation collapse, no danger to life, but I need to be on duty for this weekend...

    E-Mail sent, Andrzej.

I hope we can shift this meeting to November.

If I had not reloaded my soul with positive vibrations during Doncaster 2015 - this information would certainly degrade my morale, Sven.
Well, the sense of duty and professional obligations prevail, no doubt about it.
We will work on other dates.

    Default BoB Fighter Sweep game

The game is not over and we have established a new date of the meeting: 4-6 Dec.
I hope this time nothing could spoil our cunning plan.

Meanwhile, as it was planned, yesterday I held a BoB Game fighter sweep scenario in which Sven wasn't able to participate.
I prepared some rules of engagement for this specific encounter including "+" points for kills and "-" points for withdrawal from action.
The rules appeared to work perfectly.
3 Allied pilots (1 British, 1 Czech and one Polish) faced 3 Germans.
The game lasted 90 minutes with possible respawning after 10 min. pause (to bring beverages from the kitchen).
Both sides scored 2 kills and 2 parachuted German pilots were captured. Overall score was 6 points for each side (Germans could scored more points for shooting down Allied fighters). So we can say the game ended in a draw.
Great fun was had by all, but we missed Sven very much.

    Below are some action shots.

    Starting positions.

A young German pilot reaching for B damage tokens.

Wiktor scored both kills for the German side and his face says all!

I must admit my pilot (Falkowski) scored 1 kill, was not shot down and was quite lucky performing evasive actions during 90 minutes of the game.

Sven you were missed - so to you we raised our glasses at the end of the Opole Flight meeting.

I am sure that when he does make it, it will make up for all the sadness.

Great AAR my friend and a nice sceanrio to remember.

    Snacks and Schnaps.

    My time will come.

Good to see that the gaming friday was success. Sorry again for my abrupt cancel of the September trip.

Yesterday I was behind my office desk and thought: "My God, just at this time you were able to sit outside in a cafe in the old city of Breslau with your Polish friends, enjoy the sunshine and breath the great atmosphere of Oberschlesien."

We will catch up on everything in December.

    I promise.

Greetings to all the Polish pilots and their families.

Let me revive this thread, for our dear friend Sven confirmed his arrival on 4-6 Dec.
The schedule of gaming/beer tasting/sightseeing is confirmed, pilots of my Wing are on stand by, so Sven - fly safe, chap - homing beacons will be burning brightly marking your landing site.

Sven's Ju 52 has just taken off from Opole airfield. The General's inspection was a HUGE success (our wing will not be sent to the Eastern Front- at least for some time). 3 days full of meetings, sightseeing, gaming, testing Me 262, fighting over the Western Front, joy, eating, drinking - have passed. The reports will follow. Stay tuned, chaps!
