    Default RAF Operations record books

For anyone wanting to get really, really historical received notification today on the release of the RAF Operations records for WW2 from the UK National Archives.
    Information includes:
    http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/h...erations+books
While mainly WW2 there are some earlier records apparently as well. I am yet to explore them but the samples show the following information:

    aircraft type and number
    names
    rank of flight crew
    names of passengers
    weather conditions
    flight/sortie details

Looks as if this could be useful when trying to find info on that elusive aircraft you need for a repaint, or which Squadron was based where at what time.
    Thanks Andrew.

I have learnt from reading Wings over the Desert that 14th Squadron, RFC's record books are at Kew too. I can feel a visit coming on.

All because I was trying to find out more about a few fliers for my campaign game...I used all real flyers for that squadron, now I feel bad about only using John Wayne character names for my US fliers.
