make sure you cut any spurs as short as possible, scratches can be nasty.
At this point, a safety note is called for
I would not recommend these for use at conventions etc a properly edged net and smooth wire legs would be needed.
this is just a cheap thing for home use. I keep chickens, I have old scraps of chicken wire hanging about, and I have always been a bodger

Once the base is formed, you can start building up the cloud cover

    Great effect!
Do you glue the stuffing to the wire, or just push it into the holes?

The stuffing is just laid on top, that way you can pack them away neatly should you need to
if you need thunderheads, you just pile more on.

you can also have secondary'spur' platforms, which you can just see in this pic

I have to admit, chicken wire is a material I never thought of, but yeah, it works wonderfully. Thanks for the tip.

I may have to rethink my clouds now that I have seen this John.
The wire is hardly noticeable in the photographs, and beats my center peg idea hollow!

I just happen to have some old chicken wire in the garage - and I'm going to give this a try! Thanks for the tips and how-to, John!

    All the best,
