    Post Halvo to Hospital!

    G'day All!
Just thought I would let you know that Chris Halverson (Halvo) one of the original Sapphire Coast Flight will be going into hospital in Sydney for a major operation (Prostate) next Monday & I know he would appreciate any prayers anyone on the Forum would like to say for a full & quick recovery.
I will keep you informed on his progress.

I don't get the time all that often to come here, which is my loss. I am rather humbled by all the well wishes for my operation and recovery. Your prayers are most welcome. I would like to say that the operation has been successful in that the nasty little tumour is no more and Chemo, Radiation and even hormone therapy will not be needed. The prayers have been answered and I get to spend a little more time here on earth flying toy planes, marching groups of toys soldiers, and spending quality time with family and friends. My only suggestion to all you gentlemen is to get a PSA test done and if needed follow it up with doctors that care. To all the ladies reading this remind your dopy boyfriends, husbands, partners, children, fathers, grandfathers that the test may be needed and that it is the one cancer in men that if acted upon early your outcome is particularly positive. Again thank you all for your concern and prayers. I would really like to thank Baz/gully-raker for caring for others as he does! A finer gentleman is rarely known.

    Christian,
Sorry I missed this before your surgery, but glad things worked out as well as they did. Thanks for the warning, and the positive example, too.

Glad to hear you got through it and won't have to deal with those nasty after treatments.

I second your plea for everyone here to have their next blood test add PSA to it. Catch it before it spreads and becomes a major problem. (my words of experience!)
