84 planes is a shock. I had no idea you'd cut back so much Tim....

Yes thanks Tim. No wonder there are no Spits and 109s left in the world.

Carried everything for Tarantino for Origins in a small carry on from Newcastle to Columbus Ohio. 2 trains and 2 planes. No probs.

I have only ever transported in their default boxes and by road and had no problems in doing so - but this is very different. Do travel like this well and what best in - KR carry cases?

Neil's your main man for this Gunners.
I had a long chat to him about it yesterday.

    Yes, it's true.

Neil thought it would be a good idea to have all the planes come from a single source, to simplify set-up and pack-down, without having to separate planes/decks/bases/pegs by contributor.

I'm flattered (and a little surprised!) that Neil came to me - I am still a Newbie after all - but I am happy to be able to help out.

You a newbie? G'wan, your 'avin a giraffe.

So, all I need to do is bring BoB stuff, Lancasters and something to shoot them down with..... Excellent, more room in the backpack after raiding the shop

Just to confirm, apart from Andy and Paul, everyone supplies there own models and damage decks/chits etc for games or liaises with others to ensure they have what they need.

But please everyone who has bring your mats we may need them to cover all tables.

Major Catastrophe, main computer has gone down. Hopefully can get fixed and its not terminal. Only thing I haven't run off is the programme and who is doing what game. I'll still be online but using a kindle tablet.

I do hope that you can get it fixed O.K.
In the meantime if you need anything printing for Doncaster if you can get it to me I will knock it off for you.

    More bad news.

Sean can't get in to Canterbury accommodation until 19th of Sept, not week before as planned. Karen will miss Doncaster as she is travelling down with Sean on Saturday to Canterbury. I may miss the finale as I will be travelling down to Canterbury Sunday. Apologies but life has got in the way again.

Just to let everyone know we have some fantastic prizes on offer over this weekend. There is still time to get your name down for one of if not all the games you want on either or both days.

Come on this is the last call even if you can only pop in for 1 game, surely that's better than sitting at home watching the footie?

Come down to Doncaster and see the last flying Vulcan bomber flying too. Same weekend. Combine both and have an eventful, fun laden day or weekend.

Not forgetting the UK Wing dinner on Saturday (uniform is optional) so if you want to meet the rest of the WingCo's boys come along to that but get your name down seats are going faster than the WingCo's gin supply!

I'm thousands of miles away, and I'm excited for this thing. Ridiculous. I expect there to be revelry and AARs , my friends. Plenty of both.

I'll kick start the finale and produce all the sheets etc. Then I must get away by 2pm-ish. So no worries there. Just take lots of pics and someone will have to do the final tally and write ups.....

Forgive me this (only a little) bit off-question: are there any cigar smokers among the participants?
    May be a nice prize-surprize...?
So show up, those who do smoke.

No problemo, back on schedule - a whole Bank Holiday wet weekend of painting gave me 3 Me109Gs, 4 Me109K-4s, 2 Fw190 A-3s, 2 FW190 Fs, and two Ta152s. Now all I have to do is produce the cards and manoeuvre decks. May even have time for a couple of Me410s.

Hopefully in a couple years we will be able to make it back.
