Thread: Jimmy Meissner's "Dark 14" Nieuport 28

    Default Jimmy Meissner's "Dark 14" Nieuport 28

Here's my Nieuport 28 repaint, of James Armand Meissner's Nieuport 28. Given difficulties of printing white, I had to forgo the more well documented "8" paint scheme, in favor of the earlier "dark 14" markings (which did, or did not, have white surround depending on which resource you look at). I could find no actual pictures, so just went with a font that looked nice.

If anyone else can find an actual picture of the early markings, I'd still be very interested in seeing them.

Great stuff here, Todd! I really like the dark number for a change, and the nose zig-zags are awesome.

    All the best,
    Matt
