Lovely work, P-G! It's an inspiration to all of us to tackle some of the 'lesser-known' planes...

I decided to try another full-color ground target for printing with Shapeways -- this time based on a railroad station: The Senlis station that was torched by the Germans in 1914, northeast of Paris. I expect this will take a couple go-arounds with Shapeways before they're fully happy with it, but we'll see how it goes. I'm sure the detail won't be quite as sharp on the actual print, but that's just a technical limitation that we'll laugh off in a few years.

These ground targets of yours certainly go a long way towards meeting the needs of those who want to add some 3D effects but don't feel that they either have the skills or the time to do their own.
I am very much obliged to you for this Daryl.

This will be a lovely 'target', Daryl - is it planned to be the same size as your aerodrome targets, or does it need to be a little bigger?

Like Rob, I, too, think its wonderful you've created these to help with 'realizing' the game.

    All the best,
    Matt

Thats a beauty. Let me know when it is a go so I can add it to the Shapeways list.

That is a perfect thing definitely. What bothers me is moving a bombing plane/base over it. How do you arrange that guys?

Simple, Andrzej. just have a target card the same size as the object, and place it underneath. If a flyover is possible, just lift the model. It can be replaced after being flown over

Not a WoG project, but I did this pennant for the Northern Ohio (NorthOaken) battle units for the Pennsic Wars, starting today.
It's been a while since I did an SCA banner, so I'm pleased I still have the skills.

Hmm, I should add a top-down view of the targets to my gallery, so it's easy to make such a card. Consider it done.

    (PS: I like the flag.)

I'm going to see how it comes out at 2"x2" size, but I might also try a test print that has been upscaled, just to see how it comes out (and how expensive it gets).

I'm trying to take a photograph from directly overhead, then printing it out at the same size as the model.
Start the game with the model placed on the photo; simply lift the model away when a plane flies overhead.

Love the 3D ground target Daryl. I picked up the PICA RAF AF in 6mm last weekend. Now that you have posted your photo as an inspiration I have to do something with it. Not sure how I want to mount the buildings. Something I have to think about. Thanks for your great photo and idea.

I just finished four planes a slow month for me. All are 144 scale F-Toys, three ME-410`s and a Beaufighter.

But they are 1/144 WGS, right?

My WGS are 1/200 Nexus & Ares................

Yes they are 144 scale. I was using 144 scale planes when DOW first came out. I only had about 50 144 scale planes then, courtesy of my N Scale model railroading. Long before the first Nexus Mini release.
