Default PTO Mission 5 - Riding Enemy Wings - Blackronin

    April 04, 1942

    Dear father:

I hope that this letter finds you and mother in good health. It may take some time to reach you as now I'm in north Manchuria.
We're near the Soviet border for a while trying to pry their strength and resolve. I'm flying different planes now, that I'll tell about later.
Brother is with me and his jokes and general good disposition is a bless for me and the other comrades. He's becoming better and better at flying and wising up.
Today we fought Soviet fighters. I was lucky that brother was with me...

The weight of this mission is being a burden to big brother. New planes that not everybody is alright with. A team of misfits and orders less than honorable. But at least we're flying together. "Big brother?"

"Ah! Kahoumono Chotto Oni! You shouldn't call me big brother when we're on duty!" "And you shouldn't call me little lucky demon..." "So. What is it?" "I prefer to fly our zeroes... But at least the American planes have good radios..." "And good engines..." "True." "And are rugged and strong and heavy machine guns." "Yes, that's also true." "Listen little brother. Don't try to use this plane to dogfight. Attack and run away to attack again." "That is a very coward way to fight." "Baka! It's more coward not to return to mother and father!" "Planes!" "What?" "Planes eleven o'clock. Soviet?"

    "Probably. Don't dogfight, little brother!" "I won't."

    "Yaks I think."

"Here they come." "Big brother?" "Yes?" "They don't seem surprised..." "Surprised?" "We're flying American planes." "you're right..."

"Don't face them straight ahead, brother!" "Don't dogfight!"

"Taking damage!" "How bad?!" "This plane is a tank! I wish our zeroes could stand this damage." "That kind of words will always keep you in trouble big brother!"

"I think I've wounded this one."

    "Excellent!" "I'm reversing. Don't dogfight!" "I'm not!"

"Already in their tails. You're amazing, big brother." "Don't butter me and attack the one I've wounded." "Yes sir!"

"They are going to reverse!" "Those little planes are awesome!" "They are."

"I've hit another one." "Can you leave one for me?" "Maybe..."

"There they go. Protect my back." "Yes, big brother. Father wouldn't like to know that you don't share..."

"I've hit his cockpit and engine!" "Again?!" "Yes!"

    "I'm taking this one down!"

"Father wouldn't like to know that little brother likes to boast..."

"Got him! He's still flying... I don't tell that you don't share, you don't tell that I like to boast." "Fair enough."

"This American radios are really good." "Yes. They are good for loud mouths like yours, little brother."

"Beautiful reverse, brother." "These P-40's are heavy, but very smooth to fly."

"Why don't you bail out?!" "Because he's brave?" "You're beginning to sound like me, little brother..."

"I've took this one down!" "Will he bail out now?"

    "I wasn't able to see..."

"You have one of them behind you, big brother!" "Take him out!"

"I've hit the cockpit again!" "You are becoming a pilot's killer, big brother!" "Don't say that, baka!"

"I am sorry, brother... Has he bailed out?" "No... I think not..."

"The last one is behind you!" "I'll turn left to shake him." "I'll take this one."

"He hit my engine. I'm losing power."

"I think that he's trying to escape." "Good, let's go home." "No way! You've took two. My honor must be saved!"

"Be quick with that!" "I've hit him."

"Don't go too far into enemy territory. We can't lose a plane in Soviet territory."

"I'm not going to lose a plane! The Soviet is going to lose a plane!"

    "Always boasting!"

    "I've hit his engine."

"Take him down and form up with me."

    "Done."

"He went down." "Let's go back." "I'm starting to like this plane."

"Can I also paint teeth in my P-40?" "No." "But yours have teeth." "Yes."

    Another epic encounter Quim.
The whole story line unfolds like a Sunflowers petals on a hot day.
Your characters are gradually taking on form like a painting.
    Wonderful brush words.
    Rob.
