I had to visit a doctor due to a two day lasting high fever and shivering.
He recognised a serious infection and send me to Hospital for further inspection and treatment.
My little daughter burst into tears of course, but there was no time to loose, the doctor said.
Fortunately they released me, ordering some "hard" drugs and further treatment at home. Ufff...
My generous wingman Sven had tried to send me some cigars and bottles, but the stuff sent it back to the Drome.
Now I feel way better, alive and kicking!

Back to active service! As the term is over, kids are free and our ladies decided to have a meeting, my wife called the old and newbies in our Flight to welcome the returning pilot in a usual manner (not me, drugs - no alcohol) and I hope not only to host a game tonight, but also welcome 3 new pilots I have recruited recently for their first mission!

    Cheers! :water:
    Andy.

Sorry to hear you've been ill, Wingman!

Glad to hear you're on the mend.

On the plus side, if you're restricted to water, then there's more in the Mess for the rest of us!

I see you have been getting into the SAILS spirit with your time on the boat, good man.
    Glad you are feeling better.

Glad they caught the situation in its early stages - continue to feel better! Water isn't SO bad when taken in limited amounts...

    All the best,
    Matt

Good to have you back at service my friend.

Be shure that we hold back a vodka reserve for you at the mess.

    Nice picture, Andrzej.

I guess that was the moment just before the Polish Buccaneers took over the command of this ship.

If you're restricted to water, does that mean you've been transferred to the RNAS seaplanes?

Glad that they caught this early; mind the docs, and you'll be fine.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

That was real bad luck Andy. After a great holiday as well.
Still as the other chaps say, thank goodness it was no worse.
I look forward to viewing more of your escapades, both on holiday and in your game this evening.
In the meantime, I guess I will have just have to force myself to have a drink for you with each of my G&Ts until you are off the medication. Oh! the hardships I have to suffer for my Wingmen.
See you soon, all bright eyed and bushy tailed I trust.

Andy, sorry to hear about the medical troubles. Missed you yesterday in the Skype game. However, Dave [clipper1801] will be back home in Arizona, and I'll run another Skype game this coming Friday, 3 July. So, you have another shot at Dave then, along with Eric [7eat51] and Sue [ling], as well as Paul [tikkifriend].

    Recover quickly!

    Thumbs up

G'day Andy! So sorry to hear of your health problem.
You have to watch those infections! Some years back I got an infection in my right leg which led to the fever & shakes you described & the swelling in the leg resulted in 2 anurisiams which meant I had to have the main artery replaced with a vein. 3 months in Canberra hospital.

At least I got to keep the leg.

Have a speedy & complete recovery then you can catch up on the drinks!

Sorry to hear you've been unwell Andy - but glad to hear you're recovering. Get well soon - I am sure the very worst aspect was / is the inability to consume G&T's

Thank you so much for your kind comments, dear friends. These must have been your thoughts truly that gave me wings and - although the treatment is still on - all the bad symptoms vanished for now and - hope - for good.
That was definitely not a Turkish Delight
I did feel the sails unfurled there and must take the RNAS option seriously..
G&T is a drink I long for, but waiting will make the first glass sweetest, Rob . For now the virtual smell of Geneva is what I enjoy.
Considering what the doc said, an early warning and treatment like in my case saved me from big troubles. What Barry had experienced must have been a MegaTrouble...

I must check my next Friday schedule and possibly will join the game .

The very good news our group had a game yesterday - reinforced with 3 (ususally deadly) newbies. The AAR wil follow shortly.

    Thanks again,
    Andy.
