Thread: P-40's Warhawks from AIM 1/200 in Japanese liveries

Default P-40's Warhawks from AIM 1/200 in Japanese liveries

These are my AIM 1/200 Japanese P-40's.

The P-40 is one of my favorite planes and the AIM model is beautiful.

I've wanted to do these since the first time I saw pictures of Japanese captured P-40's.

I hope that after the matt varnish spray the plastic look of the decals will disappear.

One more view of the red and green effect.

    A view from below.

My Pacific campaign will suffer a little detour...

Very nice indeed, I never knew they were used by the Japanese, always nice to have a different subject.

These look lovely, if somewhat off-putting, Joaquim! I never considered that the Japanese might have captured and flown these...you have piqued my curiosity and I must learn more about these.

Hope you're settling in comfortably to your new surroundings

    All the best,
    Matt

Very interesting Joaquim. I like your use of captured planes! Great looking too. One of my favorite planes even though they aren't the best.
