    Default Strafed Messerschmitt BF 109-E

A friend of mine has just finished a very cool 1/72 Mess109 model. It's landing gear was broken so he decided to customize it as if it were strafed on the ground while it was taking flight.

Page is in spanish, but the important thing are the photos.

A very cool piece, the gore in the cockpit wasn't something I grabbed on first inspection. Your friend is a talented modeller - now of course he needs to build the runway, and other damage around it, to complete the scene!

That is awesome and very creative!
I don't want to meet the plane that fires rounds of that caliber though, looks like the size of fists ;P

It must have caught a burst from a USAAF P-39 AirCobra's 37mm cannon.

I think the big gunned USAAF AiCobras and Emils crossed paths in North Africa.

Nice work really like the "used" look of the plane and the cockpit gore certainly adds something to the model....

    Cheers
