Thread: A quick sortie across the pond

Default A quick sortie across the pond

Well chaps. Apologies for being in communicado (wherever that is). Reasons some of you know why. But the time had come to be really off the grid as I fly across the pond to join our gallant allies in their great endeavour at Origins. Chris (hedeby) would you mind looking after the Northern lads when I'm away. You did a sterling job last time. Only one last hurdle to get over swmbo can't find the passport! So it's rip the house apart tonight or off to Durham to get a new one tomorrow. Now that will raise a few problems! See you all soon. Hopefully lots of pics and reports from across the pond to follow.

I wish an excellent trip for both of you, Neil.
Have a lot of fun, enjoy yourself, play and visit a lot and meet many of our comrades on the other side of the ocean.
Photos are a must, I must tell you that very soberly.

Have a good one Neil, and in the meantime I will entertain the troops by publishing the pictures of our little encounter on Tuesday evening.
    Bon voyage.

Passport found. Not going to say where it was but somewhere I've not been in a long time.

Sorry Paul, contacted customs....no chance bringing the Stottie cakes over some thing lost in the description of how can you call bread a cake and vis a versa.

Looking forward to meeting everyone over the pond and playing some f fantastic games.

Tim you don't know what you're missing SAILS is great. Cracking game at the WingCo's. Water played a large part in both games played on Tuesday. Cheers Rob and many thanks to Eileen for feeding a young waif and stray.

See you all when I get back.

I hope your local Post Office will hold something for you till you return. I deposited it in our local PO over a week ago but wasn't feeling it would reach you before you flew the coop.

    Pleasant journey Neil!

Now you have got my brain cells working overtime! (Not that I have many left though). There are a few days left and I shall keep an eagle eye out for he postman. (He never rings/calls twice). SWMBO will be intrigued though if it arrives after I leave.

Thanks in advance, a nice surprise for my return.

Over this side of La Manche eh Chris. If you were close by could have had a quick sortie.
