Default Leutnant Wolff Reporting for Duty

Hello there everyone, im a new pilot of the Central England Squadron and thought id make myself known and say hello
im also relatively new to Wings of Glory, but have found it incredibly enjoyable so far!

About me: My name is Rob
Originally from Worcestershire but live in Birmingham
I'm 22 , Studied History at university and hoping to teach it in the future.
I play Wings of war almost exclusively with my Father (who i'm sure i can get on the forum at some point ) at the moment as we are still learning.
Generally Love military history from almost any time period but especially interested in The Great War and WW2 as well as the English Civil War.

That's pretty much it to be honest, i look forward to sharing the skies with you!

    Rob,
Welcome from the far side of the colonies, Vancouver Island.

Lots of players in your neck of the woods. And Doncaster is a bit less of a drive for you than for me, although there should be a very good gathering of the international WoG community this year (check last year's post for a sample of members that may attend).

Back from a very busy day, I can finally officially welcome you to the Drome Rob.
Don't forget that virtual beer waiting for you in the Mess. Just tell the steward Kyte sent you. The only chap with a personal Emoticon of a G&T.

G'day Rob & welcome to the 'drome on behalf of the pilots who fly in NSW down in Australia.
Quite a lot of us here have a deep interest in WW1 Aero history as well as other Military History.
For me its Napoleonic era, American Civil War & WW2, especially Air War in the Pacific.

Look forward to hearing of your progress.
By the way, what aircraft have you managed to snare?

Cheers Guys , thanks WingCo it was Delicious very thirst quenching ummm by snare i assume you mean which planes have i acquired? please forgive me if that's wrong tho , as i said because both my father and i are collecting together we've grabbed a handful from both the Entente and the Central Powers, for the Central Powers we currently have an Albatros D.V 2. Fokker DR1's and a Fokker D.VIII , for the Entente a SPAD XIII,Sopwith Camel ,Sopwith Triplane and a Sopwith Snipe i must admit so far my favourite plane has to be the Fokker DR1 its so darn wiggly!! and i just love the way all the various mks Albatros' look! :P

Welcome to the Drome Rob from Derbyshire.

You should be very proud of having read for a History degree - having had two unsuccessful attempts at one I know how tough History at Honours Degree level can be!

There is a thread you may enjoy which is all about learning the game but with elements of fun and creativity attached to it. It's under WW2 (WGS) Missions and it is called 'Circuits and Bumps' - much of the learning aspects of the thread written by a flight instructor.
