Erm, WGF is also 20th Century.................... that's where my 6mm trains are headed!
For WGS, I bought 2mm trains from Irregular, to run on (well, SIT on) my Brigade Models track.

And they don't seem very glad about my policy toward a particular game involving a complete lack of steam power and reciprocating engines/turbines/internal combustion engines.................
.....................far from being GLAD about it, they're STILL trying to recruit me!

A magnificent game run by Tim and one I am glad I wasn't shot down by my son...well he was on my side for a change.

    The Zeppelin Game:

The target tonight Hartlepool, defended by 4 searchlights and the RFC of course!

Zeppelin under attack from all angles, deflects the RFC attention away from the Gotha so it can sneak away and bomb Hartlepool!

Under and over and all around the Zeppelin tries to keep the RFC away from the Gotha. (numbers on Zepp base relate to numbered gas cells)

Smoking's bad for you son! And he caught fire again and I shot him down for a second time, sorry to steal your kill Tim.
(As the Gotha sneaks further away....)

meanwhile back in the war....the RFC close in and what started as an easy ride turns into a flaming one for the Zeppelin which goes down short of its target.

    4 Crew dead
7 gas cells gone (An AAA gun got a boom and so did another RFC and that was it)
7 fires raging, about to become 9!
62 HP left but in 3 turns that was blown away to 43!

A great game and although we shot down (well the Zeppelin did) every aircraft at least once and one twice the victory went to the RFC who claimed 1 Gotha and 1 Zeppelin for 7 aircraft lost!

Might any of those dozen be avaliable for sale at some point?

Oh yes, as soon as my Flying Aces event is over the 24th I will be focusing my attention and my elves on the IJN Destroyers and the mighty Zeppelins! It helps my garage temperature is now below 100 degrees! Finally!

A very interesting account of the Sunday games Neil.
Thanks for that as I was otherwise engaged for most of the day as you know and only got a couple of shots of the Zep which I will post on here later.

Good, Tim won't agree but then he did fly the Gotha down the length of a B AA searchlight beam! The Zepp fared no better being hit by a C and a B AA beam and getting one boom card to boot. Enough to take down the last gas cell and doom the Zepp to oblivion.

Perhaps it was for the best after all Tim,
I've just spent a silly amount on more train bits mail order.
Ruth thinks I should have enough German armour to do a tank busting strafe scenario!
I am still in shock that SWMBO is encouraging me to spend money on this!!!

I have had a look at Irregular Miniatures 6mm train range and would definitely like to see more in the flesh painted or unpainted. They do tracks as well and I am tempted to order some until I see more of the actual train vehicles. Presents an interesting 3D target on it's own does a railway line - especially now I have the Junkers Ju-87s from Wings of War to dive bomb it!

I was looking at Irregular for targets; never got as far as looking to what shipping to the USA would be.

Fortunately I already had loads of 6mm track, which I used in 6mm micro armour games (I bought a load more when I couldn't find my first load; then,of course, I did find it all!) - just needed the trains to put on them.
I have plenty of German, Russian and U.S 6mm armour.
I need to get on with my 1/285 GHQ Italian/German/British Western Desert stuff.....................

Ruth must want something; and the deeper you get in, the bigger that something will turn out to be!

Must look into this further. A railway would set off my 6mm WW2 stuff too.
