    Default Operation Rösselsprung (1944)

On this day 1944 started combined Axis airborne/ground operation in Yugoslavia, with goal to capture or kill Marshall Tito:

    Interesting info, Heмaњa.
Reading about the operation I found something I had no idea about. The Balkan Air Force.

I have a scenario for Operation Rösselsprung.

Mixed a few late war German planes into the Setup.

I have an AAR in my Origins blog. (03:30 pm)

After reading the book SS-Fallschirmjägerbattallion 500/600 I know about Operation Rösselsprung in detail.

German ground attack planes like Henschels and Stukas had their big day during this anti partisan operation. When Allied fighters arrived on the scene they escaped in time throug the valleys in low flight.

Allied fighter bombers delayed the advance of German ground troups a lot by bombing streets and vehicle columns.

Indeed. Prague anti-tank mission was brilliant both in concept and realisation
