Now I know where to retire . . .
That looks amazing!
How the heck did a target that big near Berlin survive WW2???
Maybe we should suggest this to the Akron Chamber of Commerce for the Goodyear Air Dock

That is an example of German ingenuity.
Incredible! Bet its expensive but would like a few nights there.
We should rent it out for a massive Wings Tournament and get the Zeppelin company to sponsor it . . . imagine a floating game table, night missions over water . . . elves bringing us G & T from the hot air balloons . . . .
Well that one practical way to make use of an old Zepplin shed
Ingenious indeed, but not strictly a Zeppelin shed. That's the CargoLifter hangar, only built in the 1990s iirc - possibly even post 2000. It was built as a factory for heavy-lift dirigibles, but the company went bust before producing more than a couple of prototypes. Pretty stunning though.
As for actual Zeppelin sheds, the only survivor I know of is a 1930s one in Brazil - as Jager diagnosed, any of the German ones surviving the allied bomber campaigns was unlikely.
And if the tropics isn't your thing you can always ski in the desert .... indoors .. Ski Dubai !

Just remember: if you retire here, David, you do NOT need to feel compelled to wear a Speedo when you take advantage of the bounteous waters at your disposal...
All the best,

I need to figure out how to put exhaust fans on one of those -- then I can have an oval track up here which isn't randomly closed due to rain....
